Running a lot of FB just can't seem to figure this aspect out.. I may as well ask these questions here..
1. How do you get the conversion tracking on FB to work with your tracker (Volum,Imobitrax, etc).
- We have the affiliate network (Offer) -> insert link into tracker -> then you setup FB campaigns
- I setup my global tracking pixel with my affiliate network so now everytime my network registers a lead. So does my tracker.
Now my question How do I set it up so FB also registers the same lead as my tracker/affiliate network.
I know you have to setup that FB tracking pixel somewhere? In your tracker or network? Also do you need the full FB pixel code? Or just 1 line from that enter code?
2. Before I used to be able to upload unpublished post with a caption/text. Then after approval, I would go back in there and edit it with something a little dirty
It appears they updated this, does anybody have any ideas for a work around? Maybe they will update it again to allow you to edit unpublished post after uploading ads
Thank You My Money Stackers
1. You can't make these work together automatically.
FB's tracking codes are javascript/image based = client-side. You are no doubt using server-side postback tracking between your affiliate network and tracker. The two are fundamentally different.
You will need to create conversion pixels in FB for offers and manually place them for each offer at the affiliate network. You could use one, I guess, but seems a bit silly to aggregate everything under one name.
In the FB tracking code there is a javascript and a noscript option. You should use both or just use the noscript part but within image tags. You can fill out the currency/revenue parts (and should) and could use network tokens for this.
2. AFAIK you have never been able to edit unpublished posts once they go live - I have never seen the option, so if it was around it must have been a long time ago.
This is simply too obvious a loophole - make ad, it uses a post ID, after ad creation, edit post source. Far too obvious a workaround to non-compliant ads.
You can promote posts live on your page and can edit those, TBH I'm not sure if having an active ad promoting them locks editing or forces things back into approval queue (never tested it).
Is there a way I can paste the conversion pixel from FB into my tracker? For each campaigns I have setup
For example, a gaming offer I am running. I grab the conversion pixel from fb (Gaming Offer). Place that into my tracker
That will work only if you also have client-side conversion tracking codes from your tracking system placed with the network, which is again not server-to-server tracking.
The user who converts needs to load the FB conversion tracking code on the conversion page. How you get that code there is irrelevant.
Many offers only support S2S tracking and this means that measuring conversions with the FB code is not possible.
Well, there might be a way using an app, authentication and the API but it would be too complex to setup if not a coder familiar with FB's inner workings.
Just to add to this, p202 has the universal pixel which will work with FB

Would like to see
With regards to changing posts.
Possible last I checked
with images.
So create a new image and then can
go into image and use the edit in that.
Issue with that is when clicked on
image then doesn't redirect to site only
enlarges image but with a good call to action
in the description you can make it work.
