Advise about tracking and geo stuff

hi guys,

Got a quick question, i have been around here for a few weeks now (think) and i have my VPS installed and i have sent some traffic to it and gone over the data and it seems to be working ok, no hippos atm as far as I can tell. The other day i learnt about geo stuff, great stuff i dont want my networks using my non-offer qualifying traffic no problem i installed the geo maxmind database on my server and i tested a couple of subdomains with an .htaccess file and the stuff works no problem, everything great.
Now the question is this. I read here that there is a version of prosper that is modded and you can download it here in the forum (i think) and that that version would do the geo stuff more easily, this way i would not have to do it at the .htaccess file (which i really dont mind) but if i had the option at the tracker level and it was optimum i wouldn't mind. Would you recommend i install the modded 202 tracker and use that or stay the way i am now? and also list the advantages of each way if possible?

By the way i admin my own server so adding, remove software would not be an issue.

Thanks in advanced.

You shouldn't use htaccess for anything tracking related, it's not appropriate for that.

Your tracker should be doing geo-redirection as part of it's own functionality.

I would use Thrive since it is new, efficient and feature rich. http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...form-by-iPyxel

You are pretty much advising to ditch prosper all together and go with Thrive? and that with Thrive i can do the tracking and the geo and all the good stuff?

Yes, that's my personal recommendation right now.

Thanks for your suggestion man. I will have to make a decision since i have a monthly budget allocated at the moment for testing campaigns and if i keep on signing up for monthly things i will eat too much into it, so i guess i would have to draw the line somewhere. But i will deff keep it in mind.

Thanks
