I'd say Coda 2.

Honestly Dreamweaver is weirdly positioned. It tries to balanced code editing and page display but IMO Adobe Edge Code + it's previewing works a lot better.

I guess Dreamweaver is useful if you need some of it's WYSIWYG and visual aspects.

It really depends on your workflow, what you want to do, and how much HTML/CSS you know.

By all accounts Coda 2 is excellent though.

I have little to no experience at all. I'm working through the course at code academy at the moment. I plan on using Adobe muse as well but I just want to know what is a good program to edit my codes and load other websites codes so I can edit

I would recommend Adobe Edge Code / SublimeText or similar and Firefox + the Style Editor console.

Ok thanks bro. Can I ask how come you suggest those programs and not dream weaver/coda 2?

Coda is Mac only, therefore I don't use it. It is also pricey if you don't intend to be a pirate.

Dreamweaver has good syntax-highlighting but I simply find the program inefficient for what I want to do, which is basically edit text.

I have used Coda for 3 years but only a few months ago switched to Sublime due to it's advanced features for coding.

However if you use it mainly to edit HTML / CSS / JS I would go for Coda, the interface is cleaner and overall easier to use.
