Bringing Traffic To ecommerce Store

I have an ecommerce store selling drug paraphernalia that I haven't figured out how to bring traffic to. I have dabbled in PPC on google, but it was slightly expensive since the CPC was around $1. I haven't had any conversions, though I not sure how much to budget for "buying data". Each conversion can net around $50-100. I'm trying to think of how to bring traffic to the site since this is in a "restricted" category in most traffic sources - ie FB etc.. Does anyone have any insights to share?

Hey, I just saw this. For the past few years I have slowly become pretty good at driving traffic to my recommence site which made a friend of mine suggest I look into CPA Marketing hence my presence. I do direct traffic with laser guided FB Ads and a mailing list which I grew from scratch. Tonight I just launched a watch that did close to $10k , may be more but I'm refusing to check the stats on some luck shit. "Derbyofsanfrancisco" on FB and Instagram is me. Well for your issue have you thought of creating some landing pages or YouTube videos and promote the videos? With the landing pages you could drive relevant traffic to it. It's hard to explain in this text. Another solution would be making killer TeeSpring shirts and in the description you CAN create a link to your shop. Example, make some bad ass pot related shirts via Fiverr and in the description have a link to your bong shop.

Example - Some kind of pot shirt but without saying it, target people thru FB who are fans of High Times page, they click and then usually read the shirt description.

Im just ADHD rambling.... Or you can simply use a display network and use banner ads or advertise banner ads on the sites that cater to your market

The 420Network.com may work, icgmag, weed maps and many forums may work....

Just tryin to help. Either way have a good day.

thanks makerland!

Followed you on instagram. How long did it take to get 13k followers? In your case, it seems like you already have a physical presence which you than later expanded online and with social media. I've been dabbling with social media - twitter and pinterest so far. Slowly getting followers once in a while without much work but I haven't had a successful conversion yet. I will try FB and youtube.

PS I was living on Mission st. just until recently... Pretty sure I stopped by the shop on Haight one time. Go Giants!

@makerland - can you elaborate a bit on what you did to build your mailing list from scratch?

Sure, we had a product that was sold previously from 64' to 89' then poof it was gone.... What I did was created a landing page that was basic with only a email sign up. I started by posting photos and tagging the shit out of friends and family. I mean 3 pics a day and tagging 49 people for a year is nuts. It was a heavy demographic product in the area so I just had to remind everyone we were back. I used to shut the site down after a sale and just leave a landing page. I wanted to be a every 4 month sale company. Build then email build then email etc.

Oh the Instagram part that grew by 9000 in one day. We gave away free tickets to a Niner playoff game and made a square that had the info and contest rules were to repost the photo and comment @derbyofsanfrancisco and #derbysf ..... Basically give free stuff away that is bad ass . Go they our page you will find a few contests. If you can't find I'll post a pic. Last night we did very well from these watches.
