How to pick a winning offer?

Hi all,

I am wondering how to pick a winning offer? Is there any specific criteria or metrics that you want to look for when searching for a good offer? Are there any criteria that would immediately alert you to stay away?

I'm an affiliate at MaxBounty right now. As a newbie at AM, should I start off here or at a different affiliate network?

i started off at maxbounty and still promote their offers from time to time.

get to know your rep really well. they were really really helpful when i started out. (ryan and freya are still there.)

as for picking a winner, that's a bit harder. a rep might point out some offers that are doing well, but that doesn't mean that you're going to be able to it work. you're going to have to get your hands dirty and test test test.

I think in Carmen's post on new to AM, there's a spreadsheet/formula if the offer or campaign is a keeper. But it will only be good to use it if you have at least 5 conversions per offer. Rotate your offers and pick the best.
