Hi everyone, I have made small progress since my time trying to get into this industry. I have set up an account with POFpro and stopped using prosper202 because to tell you the truth it was so damn confusing (mostly the setup, technical stuff). Anyways I've read ngo and multiple forum posts. and i just have a question i need clearing up.
When I am spying on competitors Landers, and I decide to "rip" one as a template. What are the steps following that? I guess what I'm trying to say is I see a LP I like, I want to copy it and change it accordingly to my offer/preference. How would I do this? What programs would I use? Would I have to use adobe muse and just try and build it from scratch and just using my competitors LP as a visual?
Also, I want to eventually outsource all this technical stuff and making creatives but I NEED to know how to do this myself first. Any one have any tips beside watching youtube tutorials on how to build LP on adobe muse?
Rebuilding it from scratch would generally be the best way if you know what you're doing. But most people who rip landers don't out of laziness or lack of tech know-how. Spying should be for inspiration, not for outright copying.
For building and LP in Muse... just use it, repeatedly. It's not a hard program to use, and I have done a tutorial already - stmforum.com/forum/showthread.php?15421-Quick-Guide-to-Desktop-Landers
You're not going to build advanced pages with intense functionality, just quick 1-page landers that you can edit post-export if needed.
If you want to edit sites that you've ripped I'd recommend Adobe Edge code and doing HTML/CSS tutorials. No shortage of those. Just le'google.
