Found offer but looking for traffic source

I found an offer related to learning which is 30%-40% commission on online courses ranging from $97-$200. I discussed with the affiilate manager and the conversion rate ranges from 1.2% to 3.5%

I currently have a site dedicated to this area of learning and am creating unique landing pages for all of the traffic I want to target. I was looking at Adwords but with the conversion rate + what I would make, it would be a loss but I'm working on getting the CPC down with relevant ads and hopefully the landing pages being much more targetted to those ads. I'm looking for traffic sources that are cheaper than Adwords but can still get me traffic. Should I continue to pursue this or just look for something different? I don't really want to do dating/adult.

Any suggestions?

Adwords traffic comes from search, which is very intent driven.

As a result, the conversion rates from Adwords clicks will be amongst the highest you will ever get from a traffic source.

If you hit the right keywords then this could certainly be profitable - you'd really have to test it.

You could perhaps write an article to pitch those courses and advertise via Taboola/Outbrain or advertise on Facebook.

In this niche, are there other relevant sites you could advertise on?

I think I'll work with Adwords to start out and add my landing page with the offer to see how that does and maybe do a $30/day budget initially and go from there. I'm hoping a persuasive landing page will help get clicks to the course sign up. If that doesn't look good after a week or so then I'll probably give Facebook a try.

It seems like the most popular things on the Forum is dating and adult. I'm sure there are other things that can be promoted and make money yes?

You can try 50onred.com if you do some keyword research.

I think the follow-alongs might be predominated by dating/adult simply because these are easy verticals to get into, but by no means are they a focus of the forum.

I can assure you that the dating/adult verticals will account for merely a fraction of the traffic current members are dealing with. You can do huge numbers in a dozens of other verticals, without question.

Yeah I'm starting to see that after reading even more information on the forums.

There's a ton to take in. I might toss out my first idea. I think CPS offers are best when it is something hot new/a necessity and the offer I was looking at is more of a "nice to have" / "luxury" type of thing.

CPS offers can provide a stable revenue stream since it inherently backs out for the advertiser, but there is the obvious hurdle of having to get users to pay for something!

I'm going to go with Mobile to start out. Once I get everything set up will create a follow along for it to hopefully help other newer affiliate marketers learn from mistakes I make and any successes that I have.

I see everyone on their phone and talking about this app or that app and it's just something that is going to continue to grow which means now is a good time to learn it and take advantage of it. Once I've become comfortable with that I will move to some other traditional campaigns. Hopefully this is the correct approach to take and I don't burn myself/or my budget!
