Need Help Contacting Adsimilis

Hi All,

I applied to Adsimilis a few days ago. I PMed Dutch David here as they rejected my response questions since I only have a Yahoo email address. I am wondering if someone could give me a hand contacting David and hopefully we can correspond via PMs here so that I may complete my application.

Thank you!

Why not solve the other issue - get a non-Yahoo email address...

Do that and then sign up again.

You should conduct business as a business, and businesses don't generally use @hotmail, @yahoo and @gmail addresses.

Zeno,

This was the second time you berated me for my 'lack' of knowledge and skills (and financing).

The first was in another thread when I mentioned that I did NOT have the money to afford a dedicated Server to run POFPro (sorry we're not all rich just because we can spend $99 on a membership here).

Secondly, I'm not some unprofessional loser just because I cannot afford to have a private email address.

I am trying really hard to succeed at this and sometimes all it takes is someone with connections to give a person like me a helping hand...you do provide excellent technical knowledge, but NO I cannot afford a dedicated server to run POFpro, money for a non-web based (i.e. FREE) email address, money for a monthly subscription here AND money to test out my campaigns (which is where I am currently spending the bulk of what little extra money I have).

Perhaps this just isn't for me...how do I cancel my membership to STM?

Sorry if I offended you mate.

With so many members, it is difficult to keep track of everyone's situation.

In any case - if you already have a domain name, you can run email through it using your VPS. If you don't have even a VPS (which you can get for $5-10/month), you can get hosted Exchange email with Microsoft for about $5 a month, or with Rackspace for $10/month (I have a hosted Exchange tutorial in my queue).

A VPS, email hosting and a tracker are all fundamental expenses - and you can get all of these for under $20/month. If that's too much out of your current spendable cash, then really you need to re-asses if pursuing paid AM is currently a good idea.

Perhaps you should reveal how much per month you have to work with and we can give you some suggestions on how to get everything you need at minimal cost.

If your budget is prohibitively low then the best decision, sadly, may actually be to take a break from STM and paid AM entirely to build up some savings.

Hey gericsb, I totally understand your situation man, I'm also constantly strapped for cash. I live in a country where its not allowed to exchange local currency for any foreign currency , so you can imagine my situation.

But zeno is right and there are somethings you cannot do without in this business.

With that said, here are some options:

1) For hosting, you can use Rackspace Cloud files. I'm currently using this as a way to host my LPs. I've got a TON of LPs there and I'm spending like $5/month on hosting with a world-class CDN. I don't bother with a domain for my LPs.

The only downside is that you cannot run any server side scripts (PHP,etc). I'm not doing any complicated stuff so I just do everything clientside with javascript (geo calls, etc.)

If you totally need to use a server, I don't know what your technical skill level is, but you can go with Digital Ocean. I've got a "droplet" with them in the Netherlands for some European campaigns I was running. $5/mo. BUT, you need to know how to do at least some basic server management. Their documentation is absolutely great though. You can also get someone off Fiverr to do more complicated things for you if you really need it.

2)For email:
-Zoho Mail is free
-Fastmail.fm is $40 per year
-Google Apps at $5/mo per user.
-Rackspace email at $2/mo per user with a 5 user minimum.

3)For domains I usually chose Namecheap and just search for some coupon codes.

4)For tracking you can use the excellent Voluum. They've been kind enough to give us a free tier. It's great for getting started!
If you go with the VPS route, you can of course use Prosper202.

I totally understand your situation, because it's the same one I'm in. But keep pushing. Figure out ways to make some extra money on the side (start blogging for SEO, do odd jobs on fiverr, etc) and you'll be moving up soon man.

Good luck!

Thank you both for your helpful responses. I will do my best to set up my email to appear more professional. One of the reasons I joined here was to get those types of responses. Thank you guys!

They're having their network meetup currently in Dubai until sunday, so not available that much. I let him know you're looking to get in contact, he'll probably contact you on monday!

Wow scito - thank you SO Much for the help and going the extra mile by contacting him

I didn't realize that there was a Network Meeting going on....it's hard for me to stay in tune with the community as I work 16 hours day quite often. Interestingly enough I am at the point where I think I can be profitable (with the right offers, of course. I do dating and I choose not to go the adult route as it's just a personal choice) but joining additional networks has been quite a hurdle for me. My limited budget is a slight hurdle but a lot of it is I just dont have the time. I take care of a sick relative and I have a family, and I work almost constantly. Some days I do NOT have the extra 10 minutes, let's say, to call a Network and personally introduce myself) OR to set up a different email situation.

I do have a domain that I host my Landers on and realize with my Shared (embarrassed to say) Hosting Acct could probably set up a non-Yahoo email. But as I just said a LOT of it is time management for me. I NEED to have one address where I can receive emails from family, friends, my boss at work, AND my afffiliate marketing efforts. I know I do not have the best, most professional set-up by any means but I have to make this work. I literally have about 30 minutes per day to set up test campaigns and you'd be surprised how much you can get done in such a short time if you have to.

I appreciate everyone who responded with such helpful advice here.

Absolutely! It is amazing how productive you can be when you really do not have the luxury of time to daydream.

Hi David,

I just received a generic 'Your Application has been denied' response from Adsimilis.

David: Thank you for responding to this thread - I will add you to Skype (you also may have called my Cell today as I saw a number I didn't immediately recognize so I will call this back tomorrow when I have a shorter work day).

I am working a Double-Shift right now so I will add you to Skype tomorrow - the problem is I often work at least 12 hours days and often more.

When is a good time to hit you up on Skype as I usually am not back to my house until 8PM EST at the earliest?
