Hey STMers,
I had some questions about Facebook accounts. I am new on Facebook ads and recently got "the" email so I have purchased a new account from a known and reputable seller. My question is:
1. What is the best way to get credit cards or fund these accounts for ad spend?
2. What type of precaution should I take with IP's?
3. What type of ads to run first? (should I try running ads to posts first before going external?
4. How do you run/fund multiple accounts at once? I read this on the forum and ask the OP but he didn't reply to my PM.
And if anybody with experience in this area would like to offer a newbie some advice I would greatly appreciated it, because it would save me a lot of learning curb and $$.
Thanks STMers,
Ben
Good on you for posting publicly - this way discussion can be opened up.
1. Multiple banks (in AU there are ~13 you can easily get DEBIT cards for in 1 weekend, no credit checks - do not apply for 13 CREDIT cards because your credit score will tank just from applying, and you'll get a call from homeland security). Your main problem may not be credit cards but instead the passports/credit cards (IDs) that you send to FB with every security check. The last few paid accounts I bought, I was asked to do the security check on half of them, so that was a bitch. Consider using the $1000+ to fund a farm of personal accounts instead of 1 bought account... You can have 15 accounts working for under $1000, I guarantee it.
2. Set up IPs on a server, they must be the most anonymous level. FB can still use an organisation check that gives the datacentre away, but I'm still running 20+ IPs and accounts in two Sydney DCs (all of my IDs and passports are from people in Sydney / Newcastle). This allows me to use private proxy worldwide, because before that, I ordered 10 IPs off my internet provider (TPG) and had to be stuck at home to use them - not all providers allow this, but TPG does, and the IPs are all nice home residential IPs without previous FB logins even (I assume). $200 a year, not bad - you will need a Tomato-capable router ($100, e3000 by Linksys is best). This is the ideal setup if you have an office and need to run campaigns from one location only. You can re-use IPs, too -- they don't seem to get banned, but just make sure you never log in with other accounts on one IP. If an account is banned you can use the same IP to sign up as the same name and it still works... but the moment you log into a different IP and access your ads section, or somebody else logs into the IP you keep for an account, you'll get banned. This is from experience.
3. Does not matter on a business account (unless you get a bad batch). On personal, it does, because your security check will ask you to describe the type of ads you're running. There's a certain sentence I use in the security check form (again you may not have to worry if you bought a business account) that gets them to accept me 19 times out of 20 (mostly with the same passport/drivers licenses I used before). BHW is a good source of this type of info.
4. Have all your accounts set up so you can easily transfer money from your main bank (where CPA networks pay you). This way you can keep it going a bit more smoothly. It's just cashflow management, you need to be able to bankroll the whole thing.
First off Thank You RedRummr for answering my questions in such detail. I greatly appreciate it. Some additional clarification from you if I may:
So signup to multiple banks for different debit cards to fund these accounts. When you mention using 1000+ to fund a farm of personal accounts instead of 1 bought accounts and have 15 accounts working for under 1000 (can you explain this in more detail please)
When you mention IDs to send to FB, should I use family and friends? and if i do should the new bank accounts be in their name? or should I open it in my name and fund the account but send their ID's for the security check (and have their names on the FB profiles).
Serverwise, are you using windows vps servers and then setting up different IP's per server and using every different windows server to access per account? I know that FB bans accounts if your billing zipcode and login IP zipcode doesnt match. So do I have to make sure my address zipcode is in the same city as my server IP zipcode? Please explain more on server setup.
You said there was a sentence you use on the security form that gets them accepted 19/20 times. Can you please let me know what it is generally (doesn't have to be exact, but a clue would greatly help, please)
and last RedRummr, I been buying personal accounts from BHW, any sellers on any forums I can get business accounts and agency accounts from. Good solid sellers. I been getting some bad ones, and losing money.
If you would like to PM me for more privacy I would understand.
Thank you so much for replying and answering my questions. This will greatly help me from losing money and cut my learning curb.
Thanks again RedRummr,
Ben
on the topic of facebook banned accounts.
I set up an ad account on my personal facebook. IF the ad account gets banned does that mean I can no longer access my regular facebook features or does it just mean that the ad section of my account is blocked?
bdang727:
** you can buy an account for $1,000, or you can invest in a server located in the same city as your documentation you send to FB. If you bought a personal account off somebody, you will be asked to send security info in at some stage (drivers lic., passport)
** anybody's documents. Why would their name matter? FB can't see the name. Even in credit card transactions the name is never passed along and queried by the processor or any check by FB. It's simply for FB's records to comply with certain ISOs pertaining to file keeping. US/CA/UK do address verification on cards. In Australia, my cards can be any postcode, I can change it to where my server is when I tell FB the address of the cardholder. You haven't done any research, you have 2 posts, time to get digging bud, more has been written here, I can't answer any more.
** I don't buy accounts anymore so I can't recommend. We don't talk about it in the open forums anyway, it's forbidden due to scams in the past.
Hey RedRummr,
Thanks for answering my questions. I will get to work setting it up now. I had done a lot of reading (2 hours +) on this forum and over 2 weeks in BHW, Warrior and many other forums for answers but you have done me the best.
Thanks again,
Ben
*aady83 It all depends on the ban you get. If its just your payment method or ads manager disable then your profile is still normal but its your entire account getting ban then your entire account will not be accessible.
thanks,
Ben
thanks Ben,
I am not running anything that is 'black' so to speak. Gaming offers is all I have tested out so far. I dont plan on weight loss, list gen etc... So hopefully that won't see me with a blanket ban
Blanket account bans are less likely especially if you are not really pushing things.
They can and will ban your personal and ad accounts - I wouldn't place money on this. But red-boxing of the ad account only is more likely.
I would love to know what that 19 / 20 sentence is !
The sentence doesn't matter, you just have to be brief and a bit angry that you don't know what's going, while still being polite. Your account will be banned for sure if you write, "the ads were to a harmless webpage, and my IP address has been constant". Try instead: "sending ads to my store for the first time and this happens, fix today please so we can get started -appreciate your urgency in fixing this". Do you see the difference? Which one is the dirty affiliate lmao.
