Hey,
do you have any opinions on Affiliaxe?
I have been running a campaign for one of their app installs offers [with Decisive] and something seems to be terribly wrong.
While I managed to achieve a really nice CTR and I got over 200 clicks[pic attchd], there was no single conversion! I am targetting only several apps do you think that there might be an issue with fraudulent clicks?
I am not using any conversion tracking software yet, so the data comes straight from Affiliaxe.

I am targetting the right country and the right OS.
The thing that I find strange is:

Is it possible to target all the devices but LG-V500 with decisive?
You can just blacklist the device but should focus on placements first.
Nothing is wrong here, 200 clicks to a gaming app ($3.50 spend... come on) without a conversion doesn't mean much and is normal.
If you spend $3.50 and are shocked at not getting any conversions... mate, this industry is going to be brutal to ya!
Firstly you should test the funnel yourself and confirm the app downloads, installs and converts as you expect.
Secondly, you need to test more banners and angles to get an idea of how well this works.
Decisive isn't the best for gaming placements, so expect to have to optimise off lots of placements before finding profitable ones. Set ground rules and cull off those placements like a shark!
It is not about the amount of money :P. I am just curious why it is like that.
There is a clear CTA [Play for FREE now]. I thought that if someone clicked the ad, there is a huge likelihood that they will end up installing the app. Why would they click the ad otherwise? I thought that the conversion would be around 5-10%.
I am getting higher conversion with Clickbank products without preselling :P.
It boggles my mind too.
Of the users, consider that 50% may have already installed the app in the past (for highly successful apps), have seen it before and don't like it, have played it before and don't like it, are off put by large download size, or accidentally clicked on the banner.
Conversion rates on mobile gaming apps through broad display traffic probably hover in the 0.1-0.5% range...
I have sent 500 clicks to gaming offers before with nothing. I have sent $100 worth of mobile banner traffic to a gaming app and had 1 conversion. The same app run on FB was converting at 5-15%.
I haven't yet figured out why traffic from RTB sources like Decisive convert so poorly but I'm sure there's reasons for it.
You need to keep in mind that a LOT of clicks on RTB's are "accidental"
Getting clicks does not entitle you to conversions. Like Zeno said, its not uncommon to get a few 1000 clicks with 0 conversions.
You really have to mine quite deep to find good placements. Assuming 5-10% CVR's are totally unrealistic...although its possible once you did a lot of optimization
