Dedicated Hosting Brazil

Hey Guys,

Anyone know a good host in Brazil (or a known american host that has a datacenter in brazil)? I need a Dedicated...

I looked around a while ago and couldn't find any really good hosting there.

HostDime do offer servers in Sao Paulo, so they may be worth a go. Also, Amazon EC2 has Sao Paulo datacenters, although obviously you have the usual Amazon problems there.

Alternatively, consider getting a server in a well-peered datacenter in Miami. The data cables to South America come in at Miami, so (according to someone who used to be in the hosting business whom I queried about this a while ago) it's almost as fast as having a BR-based server.

Hope that helps!

I'm with vpsbrasil.com
Works out fine for me but can't say anything about their dedicated servers.

This.

Ideally you can find a box directly on the NAP of the Americas/Terremark--that's where the connections to South America are. Could be a little pricey though, but that will get you the best speeds.

Yeah we know several other guys with big publishing sites in brazil and everyone is using this setup

Host in Miami + Cloudflare CDN (or cdn77 for video etc)

Cloudflare has 4 POPs across LATAM and you can't beat the costs!

Dedicated hosting in LATAM is needlessly expensive and unreliable.

Honestly the internets so slow in Brazil anyways worry more about your page size, caching etc.
