Recommend me a TERRIBLE traffic source! (58)

Recommend me a TERRIBLE traffic source!

I'm working on a case study/tutorial on detecting bot traffic right now, and as such, I need a bot-tastic traffic source to test it on.

So, can anyone recommend somewhere to get terrible, bot-laden traffic? Ideally with a reasonably low minimum buy, as I don't want to be spending $xxx to get a load of bots to my server...

7Search and JuicyAds.

I quite like JuicyAds, but if a man wants to get in bed with dud traffic, he has plenty of cheap options on there...

EDIT: Clicksor too.

I remember reading somewhere that adf.ly was full of crappy bot traffic.
Not tested it personally, but I think it's cheap as chips so you should be
able to sample it with $5-$10.

Hope that helps!

Haha you never know, can't trust everything. For all you know it'll work well with your campaigns.

+1 for Plugrush. Especially on web plug traffic.

11-10-2014 10:10 AM #41 vidivo (Member)

Actually I change my vote for Ad.net... absolute worst pop traffic ever! Clicksor at least I get a few conversions here and there... ad.net I got zero.

11-10-2014 10:14 AM #42 andy_d (Veteran Member)

+ AD.NET & DirectCPV are both shit.

DNTX also sucks.

12-05-2014 01:48 PM #43 TONICcom (Member)

Hi Andy,

can you please let me know what problems you had with DNTX? We have heavy bot detection solutions on board and usually we don't get complains about our traffic. Can you let me know your account name and I will look into this. You can also us an email: support@dntx.com and name your username and refer to this posting here.

Thanks,
Your DNTX Support

Tested by me ....

+1 Reachnetwork. It really seems like legit traffic, I'm about 92% sure it's real, targeted visitors. But, for some odd reason, no matter what I send it to I get banned for "traffic fraud"

Hey ,Caurmen, look forward to your case study sharing~~~

12-22-2014 01:08 PM #53 andy_d (Veteran Member)

I've had luck with AirPush in the past...

It's not an easy beast to tame, however.

Bear in mind, a traffic source doesn't suck just because you've failed to make it work yourself.. unless. there's obvious signs of click-fraud/bot activity.. which, in my case, I experienced with the sources I listed..

Advertise.com definitely isn't a nice traffic source + 1 there.. it's mostly trash

If it's bot traffic you are looking for, I'd say look no further than mobile DSPs.
