POF - Image vs Copy

I'm a newbie here and getting ready to launch first POF campaign. I've heard that the image is much more important than the copy and that perhaps many people don't even read copy. I'm wondering if most affiliates would say this is true. I've had some NLP training and a small bit of hypnosis training and think the copy could be very powerful. Anyone else here focus on copy more than image.
Thanks, Dean

All though image is the biggest factor, copy plays a huge role. You should be testing both image and copy.

To give you a good idea on what affiliates are doing today on POF check out the STM POF spy tool.

Thanks, I had a look thru the spy tool. Saw many of the same images and some copy that I wouldn't have thought would work very well (at least it wouldn't inspire me to go through a submit process). Many of the pages even for longer running ads seam to direct link to offer.
I expected to see landing pages with clearly defined benefits, perhaps some pacing and leading as well.
Also, just the basic style ads (text on white background), not much banner stuff.
One other thing that stood out to me is that ad/landing page/offer didn't seam congruent, just didn't look like they belonged together.
Just some of my first impressions, perhaps it works great, some of the ads were running a while.

thanks, Dean

Take what you see from the ad spy with a grain of salt - it's for inspiration but won't always show you reality.

For example, people running volume may be cloaking spy tools/bots (repeat clickers!) and sending them to the offer rather than their landing pages.

If you want the best idea of what's running in the wild, always actually check the wild.

i.e. join PoF and click on ads to see where they lead.

^^ **Take landing pages with a grain of salt. The ads are exactly what are seen in the wild.
