Hello boys. I have a question. I curently run a profitable campaign on Interstitial spot for mobile. I found an offer for some flat rates for mobile footers. From you experience what is the difference between mobile footer and mobile Interstitial spot ? I am afraid to not get much cr on footers. Can you help me a bit ? Would be great to risk 2k $ to get a flat rate on mobile footer ?
Thanks !
I think i will order a test first. To see if it has potential. It's the first time i want to buy a flat rate. I worked only with self serve networks until now.....
flat rate via a broker?
is it a small placement? is there a self serve network that has a % of the traffic available?
Yeah via a broker. I understant its about 1 milion impresions per day available .Yes it is but i got rejected there. It's exoclick.
hmm. any reason why they denied your application?
Mobile footers generally will have way lower CR than interstitials.
However they are usually cheaper and I've have a lot of profitable campaigns buying that kind of traffic.
As you know, the only way to to know if your campaign will work is just take the risk and test it.
Also if there is a way to test that kind of traffic via any self-serve that would help minimize the risk.
It is but unfortunetly i don't have account on the network that provides that spot. I was denied like 6 time on exoclick (maybe because i do not have a company) but i will try to find the traffic on other networks. As you said this would lower my risk. Thank you guys !
Or just call them, there is no reason to get denied if you show them you run a legitimate business.
I did it. My am tried to helped me also but no result. Maybe i would try again... They are the most hard network to work it from my experience so far... Their support it's not that great as on TJ. And when i encountered a guy that speaks english on letters it's more harder to work with them....
We are testing mobile interstitial ads at this time on one site right now and the info I have shows that mobile footers back out much better for clients than interstitial does. The interstitial ads get a lot of clicks, mostly by accident, so yes the CTR is way higher but it is less targeted, usually surfers open the link and quickly get back to their porn video that they wanted to watch. With footer ads, they are always there, users see them and can ignore them while they surf their videos and beat their meat, once done they can then explore any interesting ads they saw which becomes a lot more qualified IMO.
This is just a casual observation right now, we don't have enough real world data to be definitive so don't take it as anything concrete. All ad zones are worth testing, what works for me, might not to work for you and vice-versa. Adult traffic is "cheap" in comparison to a lot of other media and for $50-100 you can easily judge if an ad zone will work for you or not, so test test test.
