Clickbank PPV questions

Hey all,

What is everyone's view on running Clickbank on ppv? Has anyone had any luck with this? Tips, tricks, and hints?

Thanks!

Do you mean you targeted your hoplink, or the offer URL?

So PPV still work on Clickbank? I tried targeting hoplink but no pops at all.

I was targeted the offer URL with my hoplink , it may still work for some products

Figured!

It's one of those greyish-black areas where, if the offer owner was savvy at all, they would strictly forbid it (not just on CB).

I'm sure people have tried this for years?

A similar approach would be popping Amazon affiliate links over Amazon products, but that kind of cookie dropping got people in le shite.

I did that with a large ecommerce site to The tune of 150k profit, but stopped when that DP dude was arrested for it...I always kept my dailys low (300-500 a day) and used an ecommerce storefront that linked to the site where I was dropping the cookie. I used some redirect tricks so it appears the traffic was coming from this "ecommerce" site and not the pop up. I was able to run it for about 10-12 months...also mixed in some other targets to lower conversion rates as to raise fewer flags...not my proudest moment, oh well!

in amazon, ebay and cj.com, cokkie dropping (cough stuffing cough) is strictly forbidden. in many other networks such as clickbank , sharesale, linksynergy etc. it seems to be ok doing it as i see so many pubs.
i guess since %99 products in clickbank worth s... nobody cares.

long ago i created a dynamic page pulling hoplinks from the database according to the [GET] variables , leadimpact and 50onred kw's in this example. this way you dont have to create a seperate landing page for each offer, submitted keywords to the traffic source triggers the dynamic page and cookie drops.

you could always send traffic http referrer coming from a legitimate website, like review site.
But cj.com and other big time players have internal teams with sophisticated custom made arsenal. 1 single leak and you're out of this game. And even you manage to cover your footprints there are powerful services like similarweb enterprise and such which could easily reveal a domains upstream and downstream traffic , after that it is piece of cake for the networks to know who you are and what you are after.

Leadimpact traffic consists of their internal inventory as well as brokered 3rd party traffic. some of the sources only show up as leadimpact browser in the logs whereas other sources varies from chrome to opera.

ip, useragent, bounce rate, onpage moves all thse metrics can be used to identify if an affiliate is legit or not.
In summary , its not worth to do this with big companies but marketplaces like clickbank or merchants with their own trackers are vulnerable.
in theory you could drop cookies on a visitor via ppv traffic for some holiday/hotel booking operator's affiliate programme and outrank their longterm agents sales record! think about their faces and reaction afterwardsi ofcours

I definitely wouldn't try anything like that on CJ... imagine the stupidity in provoking some of their clients like AMEX, Adobe, Dell, Fila, Yahoo, Sears, a tonne of legal firms, etc. who wouldn't give a second thought about suing you, taking all your assets, bankrupting you and even pursuing federal charges.

Haha you were most likely my competition, self targeting on PPV was very grey hattish but damn some of the offers out there were super super profitable

I promoted CB products (mostly make money) on YouTube years back, I remember CB's refund policy was terrible though so I moved on.
