Hey guys,
quick question with regards to ID scraping.
Assumed I use scraped ID's and create a custom audience: will I get my account shut down?
Besides that, does anyone know an ID scraper that is still working?
Cheers,
Patrick
I don't think it's that black or white, but I just had my account shutdown (see thread a few down).
It's clearly against FB's TOS, so I'd be careful. On the other hand, I was using scraped ID's + custom audiences for 5 months w/out problems.
If you still want to give it a shot, I can recommend you a great guy on fiverr that has been doing all the scraping for me lately.
It's against FB ToS but they can't directly see that you're scraping.
However, when you upload the custom audiences, they will probably be able to tell that the users are all from specific groups, or have some similar characteristics that identify them as coming from a scraped list.
In the past I believe they clamped down on names lists, i.e. people called George in NYC, so people had to start mixing in other users to dilute the names.
In any case, it's only a matter of time before they remove UID custom audiences.
I say go for it, but on an account that you don't mind losing.
Thanks guys. Is there also a software you would recommend? Will give it a try.
would be interested in a scraping tool as well - could it scrape email addresses as well (facebook emails)
I guess socialscrape is the best..
You can google it.. But its in local language indonesia
Edited cause auto correct
PM if you're interested to have someone on fiverr do it for you. I have a very reliable guy I've been using for a while.
An update from Facebook:

I take this to mean that FB will probably automatically compare your lists to a list of users connected to your apps, or apps you have access to via the developer centre.
This could very well be the end of scraping, since such a check would likely catch out every single scraped list, period.
RIP Scraping IDs...
FB Lead Chef and Ulead pro are both good options, providing what zeno just said is wrong, and i hope to god it's wrong
It's over folks.

R.I.P. scraping 2013-2014
Hi guys,
I believe scraping is still possible because you can simply convert the UIDs to emails.
Furthermore you can outsource the whole process of scraping. What do you think doesFacebook ban you anyway? Did you have an experience with this?
Thanks Jimmy.
What about mixing up the audiences and then adding some random dudes to the audiences as well. Could this work? Has anyone tried this?
