I tried to create mobile app install campaign using imobitrax tracker url and FB does not recognize the url as leading to a mobile app url (on Google Play or Itunes).
I then tried to do the same on the Power Editor but FB says I do not have any mobile apps registered with FB.
Is anyone able to create a mobile app install campaign using the imobitracker url on FB?
You can use whatever tracking system you want, it's not important.
What is important is that you can't directly link to the app store with anything but mobile app ads.
Since you are an affiliate, you need to link to an affiliate link or tracking system URL.
You thus do not use mobile app install ads.
You use page link posts.
The only caveat here is that, during ad submission and approval -- actually at all times except when you are ready for the ads to go live, you should have the tracking system redirecting to a landing page that has a CTA linking to the app store.
This bridge page prevents Facebook's automatic URL checker from detecting the app store as a destination.
Do not link directly to the app store during ad creation, submission and approval -- Facebook may convert your ads to mobile app ads and these will not go through your tracking system.
