Setting up a campaign on STM mobile tracker (16)

Setting up a campaign on STM mobile tracker

I followed this guide "http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread.php?10410-How-To-Set-Up-A-Campaign-With-The-STM-Mobile-Tracker-V3-V4&highlight=mobile%20tracker", and came out with the following:

Tracking link = http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...id=912&t202kw=
Postback = http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...amount=&subid=

Of course this isn't working when I hit "Test offer" on F5media (testing and tracking)

I have a feeling might have to do with this part.

What am I doing wrong?

Aff network: F5media
Traffic source: Decisive
Tracker: STM mobile tracker

The setup is fine. However when I click on your link I get this :

Warning: geoip_org_by_name(): Required database not available at /usr/share/GeoIP/GeoIPOrg.dat. in /home/mecampa/public_html/track/tracking202/includes/devices_detect_inc.php on line 5

It means your install isn't completed yet and you need to install memcached, the geoip php extension and put the GeoIP dbs at their correct folder.

You can read guides here on how to do it or ask your web host to do it for you.

Great, thanks!
Please let me know if I am setting up the campaign on prosper correctly, or what am I missing?

Is the s1 and s2 right?

I copied&pasted this generated tracking link on decisive:

I copied&pasted this postback url on F5 media.

On F5media, I added #s2#:

That's all I did. (nothing more, nothing less).. I'm I missing some steps? Apparently I am

That all looks fine and should fire conversions back to p202 just fine.

It won't communicate conversions to Decisive though.

In your tracking URL that you paste into Decisive I would recommend editing the end to have:

...&t202kw={{{creative_id}}}&s1={{{bidhash}}}

This way you will be able to look up the values of s1 - i.e. the bidhash, for every converted click, so that you can send this info back to Decisive.

P202 has a third-party postback feature that lets you do this automatically but I'm not sure if it's currently working as intended.

I updated this the url link on decisive. It now looks like this, and I'm waiting for approval.
http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracking202/redirect/tracker.php?t202id=865&t202kw={{{creative_id}}}&s1 ={{{bidhash}}}

I see that "&s1={{{bidhash}}}" is added on decisive. But if you see step 3 on prosper^^^ I don't have an "s1". Is this correct?

09-11-2014 04:40 AM #7 zeno (Administrator)

Woops - prosper202 uses c1-c10 not s1-s10.

You'll need to change Decisive's link again to have ...&c1={{{bidhash}}}.

I'm not sure what step 3 you are talking about but you can add t202kw, c1-c10 to any prosper link regardless of any setup - they are always collected.

Before I get too confused, I'm gonna re do it all over again Lol..

1. This is how step 3 on setting up a campaign (prosper) looks like: Is this correct? (see arrows)

2. This is my generated tracking link (step 7 on prosper)
http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...id=777&t202kw=

Before I copy and paste on decisive, I will add the following "{{{creative_id}}}&c1={{{bidhash}}}", and it will look like this:
http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracking202/redirect/tracker.php?t202id=777&t202kw={{{creative_id}}}&c1 ={{{bidhash}}}

3. On f5media side the postback looks like this: (I'm confused with s1, and s2. Shouldn't I pick either one and stick to it in prosper and f5media)

Please tell me if this is correct.. Thanks, as always

Under "affiliate URL", you need to add &s2=[subid] at the end - that'll pass the subid as S2 to F5, so they can then send it back in the postback!

I did that, (erased the s1=[[c1]]) and now looks like this:
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=121303&c=40821&s2=[[subid]]

To recap:
Url on prosper (step 3)
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=121303&c=40821&s2=[[subid]]

Url on decisive:
http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracking202/redirect/tracker.php?t202id=184&t202kw={{{creative_id}}}&c1 ={{{bidhash}}}

Postback on F5 media:
http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...ce#&subid=#s2#

When I hit " test offer" it doesn't show the click. Is there a way to know if this link is good to go?

09-12-2014 01:46 AM #11 zeno (Administrator)

That looks fine.

Don't rely on Cake's test offer functionality.

Load your tracking link through an appropriate VPN server, in a browser in private mode (no cookies!) and actually go through the entire conversion process.

Best way to vet it.

09-12-2014 04:53 AM #12 jaime (Member)

The clicks show on prosper, and decisive, but are not showing on the affiliate network side.
I also think that it's strange that after about 1000 clicks I have 0 leads.

This setup (prosper-decisive-f5media) is driving crazy!! Can't believe Im still dealing with basic stuff. I am sorry for all the questions. Im not so sure I did this correctly. Are there some video tutorials on how to setup a (prosper-decisive-f5media) campaign?

Thanks to Zeno advice, I'm now figuring out how to load the tracking link through a VPN, which is also challenging.

You missed c1 on the affiliate link.

You put http://f5mtrack.com/?a=121303&c=40821&s2=[[subid]]

instead it should be

http://f5mtrack.com/?a=121303&c=40821&s2=[[subid]]&s1=[[c1]]

Other than that all is fine.

Now…Decisive didn’t approve my ads because of apparently “Unreachable lander”. LOL.. I’m still feeling optimist and willing to crack this sucker.
For purposes of MASTERING this, and overcoming my newbie ass, please follow and judge me as I setup a campaign from step 1 until is fully completed.
Offer: Lovoo-Brazil (mobile)
Aff Network: F5Media
Ad Network: Decisive
Tracker: Prosper

Step 1. Add traffic source on Prosper

Step 2. Add campaign category

Step 3. Add a Campaign. (here is where it gets confusing, BUT this is what I got after Zeno, Caurmen, and bbrock32’s help)

Step 4. Generate tracking link

Step 5. Copy this generated link and paste on Decisive, but first add the following “{{{creative_id}}}&c1={{{bidhash}}}”. SO, it will look like this:

http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...d=5103&t202kw= {{{creative_id}}}&c1={{{bidhash}}}

Step 6. Get Postback

Actual postback: http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...amount=&subid=

Step 7. Copy postback URL and paste into F5media, but first add “amount=#price#&subid=#s2#”

Actual Postback: http://track.mecampaigns.info/tracki...ce#&subid=#s2#

This should be good to go, but apparently is NOT. Where is the mistake, because like I said, Decisive rejected my ads because of “Unreachable lander”, and I can’t see the clicks on F5media side.

Thank you so much for your time.

Well, did you check your campaign link to see if it actually went where you wanted?

You should always do that.

You are direct linking so you sent Decisive reviewers, who are not from Brazil, to an affiliate link that undoubtedly geo-redirects people who are not from Brazil.

Geo-redirection should not get in your way at this stage because you should be well aware of it.

Simplest workaround: Change your offer link (read: affiliate URL) in p202 to the offer URL directly, then submit ads. Once all approved, switch back to the F5 affiliate URL.

09-14-2014 09:28 AM #16 bbrock32 (Administrator)

Yep most probably it's a geo-redirect issue.

Your setup looks fine.
