Twitter ADS?

Hi guys,
Twitter started to release the advertising platform also to small publishers. Did anyone tried it until now?

It definitely is much lower intent traffic than many of the other sources that we use.

@cmdeal - how are the costs looking so far?

I know a guy in the IM space doing okay with Twitter ads. He uses it for list building, gets subscribers for 50-70 cents each.

Seems like a good idea, but I can see it burning out very quickly. Let's say you're promoting weight loss - you can easily find all the famous fitness or weight loss people on Twitter and advertise to their followers... But how many time can you do that and still see results?

I don't know, maybe I'm oversimplifying it.

I gave it a try... Atm i'm around 20 cents/click with a really really broad niche...

I do a lot, 300+ install/day using Twitter ads for my "day" job. Twitter have in the last few months released a product that is mobile app install specific that is converting like crazy. The cpc is roughly 15-25p. But it depends what @handles your targeting.

I'm not sure how this knowledge would help me in the affiliate world as the ad product only works if your the app owner.

Any ideas welcome.

Eeeeenteresting. I think I need to add Twitter to my "to-test" list.

The review team aggressive or lax on twitter?

erm... it might be different as we are account managed but we don't have any approval process.

I'm sure if we started running ads with 9 inch dongs they might have something to say.

My guys have been doing quite a lot of experimentation on this over the past few weeks, and they are finally starting to crack this. Costs are roughly in line with some of our lower intent traffic sources.

Interesting. What ad products are they using? Website cards?

guys, is it possible to target Twitter audiences in Germany? I can't signup for Twitter ads from a German legal entity for now, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it would be impossible to target German users, would it?

You can target by country.

Interesting. How have you set that up in terms of Twitter account which you advertise from. eg I think you do financial so have your guys set up a new twitter account like @financialoffers and then advertising with that?

Yes that's right.

@stackman : I think they dont even have review team, none of my ads were rejected
@isdaron : twitter ads registration still not open for public in some countries, but they have reps who can set ads dashboard for our account. (komli can do this in Indonesia)

pretty good targeting for app install, since we can exclude people who already have the app.

you can check the targeting option here : http://prntscr.com/59vl90

from my previous campaign:
- promoted tweet is cheaper than twitter card.
- twitter card performs better CTR than promoted tweet (with link)

I believe the traffic quality is better than facebook, mostly the young age and urban people (at least in my country)
