Help me Scale Mobile Pleaseeee

Hi guys,

I am currently running 2-3 low payout (35-40 cents) offer on pop networks and having between a 50-100% ROI on landers ( no banners). however further research shows that scalability is limited. so i went to try some banners but the numbers dont make sense.

adiquity - ran 2-3 campaigns with total us30 spent with 2 conversions at -95% ROI no placement cuts on the same countries.

mobfox - ran 3 campaigns with -80% roi

decisive - ran 2 campaigns with us6 spent, 1 conversion at -95% roi

what seems to be the issue?

without placement cuts i was getting -30% to +50% on other pop networks but when i tried banners it dropped drastically, maybe my banners are really bad? i did not try direct linking. maybe placement cutting is very very much more important? maybe the ad network is not suitable for my very low payout offer? the CTR on my landers is the same but the conversion rate is the same for mobfox, and 10x lower for decisive and adiquity???

Placement cutting IS very important!

Traffic sources all have different pubs/sites and apps that are sending traffic so conversions will sometimes be very different. I can't figure out an exact reason for such drastic conversion differences but i can say i've had the same thing many times. Certain traffic sources (and placements) convert better for some type of offers.. that's why testing is so imperative.

For example adiquity sends TONS of traffic for cheap, where as mobfox doesn't. It's completely different types of traffic. Same with banners and pops which is a whole other story.

It all comes down to testing and learning whats best for the type of offer you're running. I'd stick with whats working and expand there. If it's pops there's a LOT of pop networks! Once you've mastered that, then tackle banners.
