SMTP that isn't Amazon or Mailjet?

Thanks!

sendgrid and mandrill

I recently tried applying to Sendgrid and got denied because my application was weak, so make sure you bring your A game. (No Idea about Adult)

A custom solution might be better for you with your own IP's (rotation, IP warming) not using one of these services, I personally would consult with an email specialist (can find on freelancer etc) about the best set up for you.

Mandrill's very good - I'm using it on a significant project just now. High deliverability (as far as I can tell and from what I've heard) and a nice interface. I suspect it's really, really not adult friendly, though.

I would not recommend the self proclaimed "email experts" on freelancer, there are whole clusters of freelancers who are making good money off naive people giving them shit email setups that nobody makes money off of, believe me, i started at the bottom and that is exactly where i started. If you want to PM me i might be able to give some recommendations. If you have good clean adult data it'll make it a hell of a lot easier.

Mandrill works, they say "transactional" but you can get away with a lot more than that as long as your metrics don't raise any red flags for them.

Mandrill - we use it for high volume trans email. Like others have said you can do a lot more with it than purely trans email and I believe adult isn't an issue.

This Mandrill, how tolerant are they to uploaded lists?

Btw, one of the good options I've been using for lists I clean from hard bounces: I emulate signups on my wordpress site and then create MySQL --> Mailchimp connection via Zapier service. It's the only one I know, when Mailchimp doesn't require double opt-in Then, you can send to people whatever you want. Pricey, but works.

I also use custom smtp setup for my send outs, but that's a bit different story.

Mailchimp is good but expensive at $1/thousand. Mandrill is the same company, but it's their transactional service and is only $0.20/thousand so you save a lot if you're sending a lot. As far as tolerance, they don't manage lists. You need mailing software to plug it into, it's just an ESP. their deliverability is very good.

How big are the lists that you clean? I have a proper cleaning server setup, I can normally clean 1 million emails in 2-3 days.
