If for example a network has an offer on Game A @$2 per install.
what is the best way to run this on facebook? I have just tried to do this, but it says I must select one of my apps (obviously this app is not mine)
any suggestions would be great

Link goes to tracking system URL > redirects to a simple landing page, which subsequently links to the affiliate link that goes to the app store.
Once all ads are submitted and approved, change the path in the tracking system to direct link to the affiliate link > app store.
If you try to link to the app store directly, IIRC Facebook senses the destination and tries to override your ad URL with the app store link.
thanks Zeno - thats exactly what happened to me - i.e. facebook wouldn't let me run the campaign
