Hey guys. I plan on using POF as my traffic source and understand it's going to take a lot of testing and multiple campaigns to be successful. But my question is, what is each "campaign" actually defined as. Is it just based on the offer you're promoting? Because if each individual campaign has multiple ads split tested, and multiple variations of landing pages split tested, and multiple offers split tested... then I'm not seeing where the difference is in starting a new campaign, since everything is already being split tested.
The other question I have is, for landing page split testing..is the rule of thumb that you make ONE landing page, then split test all the different color variations, CTA's, sales copies etc etc. Or is it better to make 5 completely different landing pages, and then split test all those individual landing pages with different variables.
This whole split testing thing is throwing me off a bit with regards to what a "new campaign" is and what a "new landing page" is.
"Campaign" means, generally, the collection of things associated with a particular offer/angle/targeting combination.
So, for example, if you're pushing Be2 with a "Meet older women" angle, that's one campaign.
As for landers: definitely test 5 very different variations first.
Cool, thanks. So I take it then for split testing in a single campaign, the offer stays the same but you can split test that offer from different networks. Also the angle and targeting won't change.. If we're targeting young men and want to change to heavier women, that's a new campaign. Is this correct?
^^ Yes pretty much.
If you're targeting a completely new style person you'll want to switch your banners/landing pages to match that new persons wants and needs and thus that will be a new campaign.
