Hi Guys,

I'm having some issues with 3rd party tracking for google adwords. Trying to do a direct link app install campaign for an iOS app. Everytime I input the imobi tracking link into the destination URL it is disapproved. From what I've been told: "enter the itunes link into the destination URL inside adwords." I don't understand how this will track data without having any macros in the URL...

Can you please advise me on how to use 3rd party tracking with adwords. I have made all the appropriate redirect rules ie: funnelling all the traffic back to itunes link.

This was the disapproval notice:

It's the display URL and not the destination URL that is being disapproved. The display URL should be where the visitor ends up after the redirects.
Try itunes.apple.com as display URL.

This particular ad unit (mobile app install ad unit) doesn't have an area to edit the display URL. I even spent 50 mins on the phone with Adwords support, they had no proper answer. He said to try a different regular banner or mobile text ad because that ad unit doesn't have an option for editing display URL. This Adwords guy didn't sound like he knew anything regarding affiliate marketing / tracking links.

Does anyone now how to make it work with this type of ad install unit? Or is it limited to running regular display / text ads. I have heard of other affiliates running install app ads though..
