Hey Guys,
I just joined to learn more about affiliate marketing - have been running blogs for a while - and was wondering what folks think about starting out in Europe. I'm a German native speaker so figured it might give me a bit of an edge and I'd be able to compete in a market that's a bit less competitive than the English speaking world. My plan was to start out with the "Appetizer Plan" and work on a few mobile campaigns with Decisive/F5 in Germany. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, specifically as it relates to starting out in Europe/Germany.
Thanks!
Max
From my experience - and hearings from others that tried germany - it really depends on the niche/type of offers you wanna go for.
Das deutschsprachige Volk ist halt doch sehr speziell je nachdem welches Land du probieren willst.
- For example results with diet-trials in DE+AT were really good compared to CH.
- With mobile I had some good results with couple of CPIs and sweepstake offers but nothing spectacular.
Most people say that the german market is not the easiest when it comes to convert mobile offers and that's also my experience.
Thanks for the feedback. Most of my current and past internet marking ventures have been focused on the German market b/c of my perceived advantage (US based native German speaker) and lower competition. This has worked quite well for niche sites and viral content projects I've built. But based on your feedback, that may not necessarily be the case for affiliate marketing.
Germany is a massive marketing for affiliate marketing man, Germany in the adult world is fantastic, and with your German heritage I'm sure you can get ahead of the other geo'd affiliates by using your slang language etc
There is also a tonne of opportunity in mainstream mobile in like grocery submits or app installs, as well as above said in the trial industry. Just pick 1, they all have big potential
Thanks, maynzie...very encouraging. I like the grocery submits idea. Are there specific affiliate networks I should sign up for, or would F5 have offers in that area for Germany as well?
Thanks!
