Using multiple affiliate networks as advertiser. Good or bad? Cannibalization? (4)

Using multiple affiliate networks as advertiser. Good or bad? Cannibalization?

I am thinking of using multiple affiliate networks as an advertiser for my webshop. (To get greater reach)

I am worried though that this could lead that same order could be claimed by several networks.
For example, a customer clicks on an ad from Commission Junction (CJ) and later also on an ad from Zanox. If that customer buys then both CJ and Zanox will view it as "their" order/lead.

Is this a common scenario or are situations like this uncommon?

The reason for me for using multiple affiliate networks is because my site is in Swedish and I am more limited in the amount of affiliates.

Any experiences and tips are highly welcome.

You would have you tracking system set up so that only one cookie/click ID can be honoured upon successful conversion -- the most recent one -- simple as that.

I would just go with one network.
All the affiliates in Sweden are connected to the big ones so no point in going to a lot of different ones.
Also it is much easier to manage all the affiliates in just one place. Pick Zanox, Tradedoubler or adrecord.

One good, reputable one where you have a good agreement in place is your safe route.

If you have BIG budgets, and want mass advertising, then moving to a few is smart. You'll always get more volume if you're on 3 networks VS one.
