Hi All,
I just wish to ask on scalability on Pay Per Click. So far I'm doing OK with PPC for few months already, ranging from mid xxx daily to xx daily when the search volume is low and fluctuating. The ROI is at 45 to 50%. But whenever I try to scale up by adding more keyword, the ROI dropped drastically and I get worried. Can share any tips for those manage to scale up Adwords campaign tremendously.
1: For me, I'm using Day Parting, Broad Match modifier, Negative keyword and Region targettting to reduce the unnecessary clicks. But the problem is sometimes people may not buy as soon as they click, and they will wait for few days before buying and that cause the day parting to be inaccurate. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been using Prosper for some time, and now got the budget to migrate to CPVlabs and VPS.
2: One of my Adwords account was suspended when i trying to promote some verticals. I'm using my landing page, with new domain and quality content. At first day, it works fine and as soon as the budget reached, it go under review for 2 days. Then it started again, I increased the budget and it run for few more hours and then go into under review again. I do not have this problem with my other Adwords account running my offline business, and even they assign a specialist for me. If someone can guide me on how to overcome it it would be appreciated. I do not run any blackhat campaign, scare that it may blocked my only offline business Adwords Account too.
3: I have tried 7 search, but the ROI is not satisfactory even for free download campaign. It may because of my low testing budget.
4: Any paid subscription on domain or keyword spying for PPC. I have tried keyword spy and spyfu but for some niche keyword or website it do not have much information.
5: Let me know too if there is any Adwords Mastermind group that can be joined by me. From what I see in this forum, most of them are ranging 4-5 figures daily and I do not fit into that criteria.
Thanks for all the kind assistance.
1) I'm not sure about this question. But you can optimize on the current conversions right? Those times are the ones that convert, it doesn't matter if they call on a different time. My opinion about AdWords dayparting: Are u excluding times or highering the % of the bid at some times? Personally i don't exclude any times because people are sometimes just searching and converting later. If they are just searching and not calling and its during those times that you exclude they wont call you later the day ;-) Example: researching at work and calling when they are back home.
2) Just call the AdWords number, explain your situation and they will help you ;-) I'm sure
3) Did you try bing?
4) I use semrush ;-)

Hi Mikeyboy,
Yup. Thanks for the information. I'll check out SEMRUSH, since I feel I can get more from spying other people campaign too
.
yes, I'm using Bing, but not active. Do you have any tips to share? The traffic is not targetted as Google, but I feel it is much better compared to 7search.
Yup, I have joined the mastermind group for the pay per call. Hope to contribute and get good information from it.
For the Adwords, I called but got directed to automated voice system. I will try again.
Hi cmdeals,
Yup, I hope to focus on profit, perhaps need to spend some money before get back more money.
Thanks for all the help.
How is Adwords more targeted than Bing?
Are there extra targeting layers in Adwords that are crucial that Bing does not have?
For the most part the keyword targeting is the largest component of this, and user intent probably doesn't change much whether they are searching on Bing or Google.
Also, for
If you are happily spending $100/day on Google but won't cash out 3% of that on a quality tracking system... you need to rethink what is important and deserves your $$.
Hi Zeno,
This is just my experience with both. I have spend quite bit of money on both and so far in most of the cases Adwords ROI is better, perhaps for my niche since I know Bing user mostly older and using IE as default browser.
For bing my only problem will be the day parting which is not so flexible.
Agree on the tracking, and that's the reason I migrate to CPVlab from Prosper. For
I'm not sure what you mean by city/region targeting being a problem with
Anyway,
If they don't, i.e. organic traffic as you mentioned, the outgoing click won't work.
The workaround here is to use PHP or javascript to change the call-to-action URL based on whether a click ID exists.
I.e. check if Voluum cookie exists, or if there is a click ID in the URL, if so then CTA button link = Voluum link, if not = link to offer directly or something else.
Hi Zeno,
Sorry for the confusion. What I mean normally for some campaign, I will exclude region that has a very high clicks but low conversion, judging on the EPC. I used the latest version of Prosper 1.84, which includes the parameter to view city and region, not just country. I cannot find this tab in
Yes,
Do you know anyone that is doing mainly PPC, such as Adwords, Bing and 7 Search in STM. I will be glad to get some guidance on the scaling and cloaking.
Thanks
Ahh yes, there is currently no city/state info in
Tbh, this data is not particularly accurate outside of the US anyway.
Can you not see this data through tracking at the traffic source?
IMO, if you can target something at the traffic source end, and optimise by it, you should trust their data on states/cities over your tracking system, purely because that is where the optimisation happens.
As for search experts on STM, just post somthing in the appropriate section - there will for sure be a lot of experienced members about.
