Round 3 Dating

So I decided to create a follow along anyway. I want to show more pictures of what I'm doing. You guys always give great advice and I don't want to miss out on that.

I'm promoting an android app. CPI. Dating niche.

First of all did I set these up correctly?

I decided to try the "I'm to shy to date" angle.

I was able to set up the campaign in about 2 hours which was a lot faster then last time.

Here are the banners:

What do you guys/girls think?

Isn't it supposed to be "too"? I just confused myself right now.

I'm too shy to date.

^lol yep.

simple grammar mistake. no big deal

Oops. English is my second language so it might happen again

08-25-2014 11:09 PM #5 timmydeleu (Member)

Lol I should have seen it

You should split test both 'to' and 'too'. I'd be curious to see the results.

I don't think it effect things toooo much.

Good start, decent simple banners. Any animation attempted?

Might be worth making the text flash on some and split-test that.

affects* :P

Since we're correcting grammar and all that...

I agree with Zeno though, it's a good start, and you should definitely add some animation to it.

Woops, I was clearly thinking tooo much about the to while editing.

Ya got me.

@timmydeleu I believe Decisive has a 3-loop limit on animation, I would probably make the buttons or text flash a few times.

How do you guys do flashes/animations with banners?

08-26-2014 07:32 AM #11 zeno (Administrator)

Just do it with Photoshop.

Google "making animated gifs with photoshop". There will probably be thousands of tutorials.

In all the grammar correcting, is the postback set up correctly?

Admittedly I use Voluum (badly!).

There is a post of MR.Green that shows you an easy way to do it.

You have to make a timeline in photoshop.

So I got my first conversion ever from paid traffic.

I get the same data in F5 so it's tracking correctly.

The payout is 1.04 so if a single app or site used up more then 3.12 without any conversion I should blacklist them?

08-26-2014 07:19 PM #15 timmydeleu (Member)

I found something interesting. The 4 conversion come from 2 banners and I'm actually only a little above the amount to break even from those banners. Of course I'm not at $15 yet.

Should I try to improve those banners and create some animations on them and try some new variations?

Here is some of the date from the banners:

The MOBILE SITE combination does not yet have any conversions.

08-26-2014 08:49 PM #16 timmydeleu (Member)

OK I got 1 banner that has had a conversion over all 4 ads and 1 that has a conversion over 3 ads.

Basically ugly as hell and big boobs work best on first glance. Going to cook up some new banners with that knowledge and make them flashy.

08-27-2014 12:13 AM #17 zeno (Administrator)

I don't think you have enough data yet to say one specific banner is working better than the others.

If the same banner has converted across all 4 splits (i.e. wifi/carrier/app/site) it could be coincidence - give it a little time.

If you move to more than 2 conversions on only those banners, and none of the others, then consider killing the others and focusing on making new ones that build on whatever makes the working banners unique.

So I should let them run over 15$ each?

08-27-2014 01:09 AM #19 maynzie (Moderator)

You definitely need to spend more then $15 yes, doesn't have to be $15 each but as zeno said you need significant data. Data rules this game, you have to just trust the process that this is how campaigns are built, by spending to find statistical significant profitable combinations and then your initial investment will come charging back and more

According to the The Mobile Cookbook: The Appetiser I need to get at least $7 per $15. It looks like I'm not going to be near that. Yet I do feel like this might work.

I will let this run one more day and launch a different angle.

Mate.. Check whether this offer does volume with F5 or any other network.. Last I checked with my AM in F5, Currently Mobile Mainstream dating offer is not Hot in F5media..

Good luck with your testing !!

08-27-2014 06:18 AM #22 timmydeleu (Member)

I does, but in a different area that I'm testing.

08-27-2014 08:22 AM #23 timmydeleu (Member)

I'm letting the old campaign run for another day and I created a new campaign with the same angle but this time with different banners of which most have something that flashes.

08-27-2014 10:44 AM #24 acepowermarketing (AMC Alumnus)

you seem to be testing the same headlines within the angle, either i am shy or you are shy. maybe you can >>>

1. try the same angle differently, girls like confident guys, looking for a confident girl?

2. illustrate the angle through visualisation, something like "girls login 3 times daily but they are shy so they only reply once", there is a mental image of the girl logging into the site and reading your message

3. show the angle through an action from the girl "girls are embarassed to talk after seeing your profile"

just my 2 cents

The ads where rejected by decisive. I guess I need to create nicer banners. 2 hours of work down the drain
