The Difference Between A Successful Affiliate & An Unsuccessful Affiliate.

This chart is pretty spot on when it comes to the mind frame of what it takes to be a successful affiliate.

.

I see a HUGE correlation between affs I know who have struggled, and affs who have boomed.

If you have been around the game for a while and still aren't hitting big number, this is a handy cheat sheet to make some mindset adjustments.

Great list Mr Green, the share information & data is a big one, i noticed that wannabe affs never are willing to share their campaigns in masterminds.

Lots of good ones there. I'd add

Successful People:
Learn through repeated failure.

Unsuccessful:
Give up at their first (often small) failure.

Do people here journal? I haven't done that since I was a kid. Definitely trying to create more memories these days though, starting with taking more photos.

Keeping a journal is a really good one! You'll be surprised how many times you can make the same mistake from not actualising it through thought on paper, Ive always sat down once or twice a week and wrote all my thoughts out, it also helps declutter your mind I remember you mentioning you do it every night before bed MrG to calm your mind. I am one to juggle 100's of problems in my own head, so getting them out on paper really helps!

But yeah great list there, should definitely strive to adopt most if not all and be the best version of yourself.

I don't keep a book form journal. But it would be interesting to know when this list was written, whether it takes social media and blogging into account.

This is a great list, not just for AM/IM but really for life.

What people on the left side of the table are also able achieve through these attributes is attracting other similar, positive minded people to work together with them.

These are the people that others want to work with, these are the people others can trust, and these are the people who can bring out the best in others.

As the AM/IM game become more competitive and complex, the ability to work in collaboration with others becomes increasingly important.

And if you can be the type of person that others want to work with, that become an incredibly valuable asset as well.

If i had to put everything from the successful people category into 1 word, it's positivity. Positivity seems to be a HUGE correlation to success.

IMHO the most common trait successful affiliates have is persistence.

Not giving up until you make it work seems to characterize every successful aff I've met.

Can you be persistent without optimism?

A combination of both will separate the successfull people at life.

Great list.

As a note, I've seen a study somewhere that some of the personal qualities that successful people have, like more forgiving, accepting responsibility, sense of gratitude, etc most of the time came from their high self esteem caused by the success they have. Of course, I'm not saying that we shouldn't have these qualities, they make us better people and can contribute to our success.

Great insights, I feel the same. However, getting a glimpse of success early on also does a lot to keep you going

From several books I've read in the last month:

Successful people don't look for guarantees. Unsuccessful people do.

Not quite sure I get this?

I think he's trying to say successful people are willing to take risks? Unsuccessful don't?

I don't think the right distinction is between people who take risks and people who do not take risks ... but rather on what kind of risks people take.

Simply put, not all risks are alike. There are smart risks and not so smart risks.

Putting your life savings on a roulette wheel, driving on highway while drunk, (or what I see quite often unfortunately: people who quit their relatively well paying day job or school to do IM full time without even understanding the basics of performance marketing down cold or without having had several months of consistent IM profits) all of these are risks, but they are usually not smart ones to take.

What you want to do is to avoid high risk, low reward situations, and instead try to focus as much as possible on opportunities that are low risk, high reward.

In other words, you want to do is focus on the top left quadrant of this matrix:

Redrummr is referring to people who are willing to give something their all while realizing that failure is a "possible" outcome. In other words, not letting the fear of failure stop them from striving for the plausible best.

@Redrummr - which books? They sound like interesting reads...

Looking for guaranteed outcomes is definitely a fairly common failure mode - not least because there's no such thing. I've seen it amongst potentially very successful people who aren't achieving their potential quite a number of times.
