Decisive oCPM and the Appetizer: Cant get Traffic

Playing around with the appetizer method. My problem is, I cant spent $7 a day on any campaign and the only filters are "Android." I am covering all media and wifi, mobile by splittin the campaign into 4 campaigns.

What happens is, I get a run of traffic when the campaigns go live, like $2.00 worth of traffic, then I might get another $2 worth of traffic per campaign the rest of the day.

Today, I went live with 8 campaigns. My oCPM is set at .40 (2x payout - was doing .72 on a previous offer with same results) unlimited budget Daily set at $8. So far I have spent a grand total of $6.50. That is $6.50 for all 8 campaigns, so an average of .81 cents in adspend per campaign.

Am I doing something wrong? My two geos today are brazil and France.

I'm not quite sure, but perhaps the CPM is too high compared to the daily cap?

Try upping the daily budget, maybe it's an algorithmic problem.

What % of auctions are you winning?

It could be an algorithmic problem, but Decisive seems to have "downtimes" where traffic almost completely dries up for a few days then restarts. I don't know why - something must affect the traffic available to them from the exchanges.

I don't have many campaigns running there at the moment, but traffic volume has almost completely stopped over the last 24 hours for several of the geos/placements that are still live (but not all), so there could be something going on.

This is one of the main reasons I don't use Decisive to test new campaigns anymore. Getting no traffic is the most frustrating outcome of a new campaign. I suggest moving the campaign somewhere else to see how it performs instead of waiting, then coming back to Decisive later on.

If you get this problem, contact Decisive's support staff. They can often help with issues like this - I've occasionally talked to them about problems like this and been rewarded with a flood of traffic some time after!
