I'm in the vertical adult dating on a small (rather tiny) geo, on a CPC network and as soon as I raised my bid a little bit I could spot that I don't get a lot of impressions the next day anymore.
Also I guess this is happening because my ranking just lowered.
My question is therefore:
How can I fight bidding wars like a boss?
My bet would be that my chances are pretty slim as a newbie. I just raised the bids a little bit more so I can still afford it based on the EPC. Or I could just leave it and suck in all the remaining traffic. Another option would be expand to other spots and then to other traffic sources.
I've never had this before.

Hey Andreas,
if you are a newbie with a tight budget I wouldn't play the bidding war.
Just keep the second position till you build your cash-flow.
It's a shot in the dark, if you are competing with an experienced aff with deep pockets you will go in the red very soon.
