Targetting Germans - please advice

Hey STM,

im quite a new member here, running basically one offer made from friends for about 2 years and now im feelingf a little stuck with my performances. Im targetting germany, austria, switzerland - age 18+. The site is about a marketplace having all kinds of products wholesale, job lots etc. So big quantities, no online shop. The use is for commercial people only (damn it linked in ads want 2$ a click). So im basically focussed on facebook having pictures like:

http://s14.postimg.org/z41rggi0x/2laptop_2.jpg
http://s9.postimg.org/ybhjk9ovz/2notebook.jpg

for the notebook landing (with best prices, a bit like penny auction).

ROI is ok, but can be better especiall when we talk about scaling i find myself oftentimes in a position where the costs go up.

I only target age, gender and country. No interest because with germany 30+ male i have around 4 million people and i want to scale 2500-5000$ daily if it works on them.

Yesterday i messed around with photostop saturation and sharpening, layers etc.! also thinking of trying right column again but looking for the grip. Testing all day right now.

If anyone has an advice on what to do for job lot, wholesale, penny auction stuff, dont hesitate. Anyone went deep down into the german market?

Thanks for this amazing forum - the membership is really worth the $!

Hey man,

this might be more suited for a follow along as it seems to be more about general advice.

some quick thoughts:

-- I think penny auctions and the like are banned on facebook, call me out if that's wrong. If you're already aware of that that's fine
-- default advice would be to test more and different image types
-- can't think of sth that's really super specific to the german market, guess you've already done the basics, prices in euro, explain shipping costs or free shipping, german phone number, german .de domain, imprint according to german law, refund policy blabla
-- be aware of the legal stuff in germany, if you're offering products to the german market, german law may apply to you, avoid getting laywered. Note that a normal laywer can bypass whois protection easily, so if you're using whois privacy, don't rely on it

But if I interpret "ROI is ok" correctly as "ROI is positive" then hey, good to go

Thanks for the reply. Im german myself and from the policies, imprint etc. everything is fine.

testing image types right now, best so far are these wholesale pics in golden ratio. But can be better

its a b2b marketplace, not quite penny auctions. and its allowed on fb, running for 2 years now.

Okay, cool.

But you're not that guy on facebook who charges 240€ as a hidden signup fee for access to his b2b marketplace?

Not hidden - case studies told out of 500 persons, 499 saw the costs (last was not sure)

So, if I understand rightly, the offer is basically a place for businesses to buy bulk stock and wholesale prices?

And you are running a cheap laptop angle?

I'm not the one to judge, but I think I know your website, and just saying your business model is a bit dark even for STM standards

Welcome to the group of german GmbH owners though

To be honest its not my company, but im the advertiser. The company exists since 2005, next year 10 years anniversary.

Glad to see german faces here as well as fast replies from moderators. Seems to be a really filtered forum in terms of information compared to the free forums.

if there are any tips, im happy for all of them

Iam also running loans, financial services but if this is fraud or scam is judged by the judges in court. And all of them said its legal the way it is. They had examinations on the business model etc.! Like i said the company is there for almost 10 years and the business model is legal!

on the marketplace are over 70.000 products, 1000 added everyday from over 3000 sellers!
