FunDanger's goal of $XXX/day on mobile campaign.
Hey guys. My name is Osiris. I joined STM about a week and a half ago. I heard about it through the Viperchill podcast. (SEO is definitely not for me.) I'm completely new to affiliate marketing so bear with me with all of the newbie questions and decisions. I'm going to try to be as transparent as possible to not only help other newbies but so that my mistakes can be easily detected by the more experienced people reading them. Also joined the HiveMind group on here started by Pockets.
After reading the Appetiser mobile cookbook I have decided to go with Mobile as my vertical.
So I got approved by Decisive and am using the F5 Affiliate Network.
I finally got my creatives approved last night and I started my first campaign today. Those $15 went pretty quick lol
Day: 1
Spent: $19.23
Revenue: 0
Pofit: -$19.23
I got 546 clicks with no conversions. I need to figure out how to test wether Im linking something wrong. I'm not using a lander, the click should be going directly to the offer page. The click count shows up in both Decisive and F5 so I am assuming that the click is in fact going through. Ill message my account manager too to see if he has any ideas
The payout for this offer is $0.89 per conversion. This is a sweepstakes offer that people can win a $500 coupon to use at grocery stores. According to my account manager it's one of the top offers they have.
Here is a screenshot of my 4 campaigns

500 clicks and no conversions?
I had the same issue.
1) Test the offer yourself. See if your conversion is tagged. If not, dump the campaign. Advertiser may have a problem with their tracking, or excessive scrubbing.
2) If the conversion is tagged, you need to change your angle. I've been trying variations of 'Free Food' with modest success.

Listen to jennatalia, she/he has experience with a similar set up as you.
France is a tough one on RTB. Most people run these types of offers on Facebook. Try and start with AU
.

I didn't try other countries, but yeah as Lorenzo said France was tough for this offer on Decisive. Got a solid 40-50% LP conversion rate with a quiz lander from an old adult campaign though. I matched the white/green/gray color scheme of the offer.

Did you use that Planet49 offer? Did it work for you? I have quite the same issue

3 or 4 questions I think. I started off with age, then went into stuff about groceries and the specific angles I was testing. My LP CTR sucked though and my high CPC's didn't help either.

I used Google Translate. Have since been told that it is low quality and your comment confirms it. In the future going to look for different means of translating. I heard one-hour translate or fiverr work well. Although for now I'm going to switch GEOs to either english or spanish speaking locations. Both of which I speak fluently.

So total newbie question. How do I test the offer myself? I know I read it before in one of the other follow alongs. Will do some searching tonight to find out.
I've been using "We can help with your bills." Angle. By looking for people's pain, then offering solution. Not going to give up on that angle quite yet but was pointed to this article by maynzie on here about sweepstakes campaigns and he makes a lot of good points on angles. Worth the read if you're a new at this like me.

I think its better to keep your copy in ENG than to use Google translate. OHT is good but not always perfect (once in a while you get a bad translations which is impossible to spot unless you let it double check every time)

Yep, your banner doesn't make sense at all lol.
You should start investigating there before worrying about a problem on the advertiser's end

I was actually going to translate your banners for you into real French so you didn't have to do OHT, but I can't even figure out what they're supposed to say. Tell me what you typed into GT and I'll do it for you.
