Anyone seeing that they are unable to use the old 110x80 size anymore?
I have a fairly new account here but unable to use anything but the new size..... sucky! Didn't think they were rolling it out till September, until then thought it was choice.
Anyone else got same issue?
They stopped you being able to use the old size some time in the last few weeks I believe.
Frankly I wish they had died sooner, although the new ad sizes seem quite expensive?
Also, they were 100x72 :P
Much better CTR on old size and whatever 100x72 or 110x80 it's pretty much the same (I'm stuck in the past with 110x80)
The new ones are a bit more expensive yeah but im not a lover of the title below, i'm sure i'll get to grips
I stopped being able to use my old ads 2 weeks ago I think.
And new ones have had the same or worse CTR for me and A LOT more expensive, so yeah... I'm not a fan...
They should be cheaper for some people given that you'll be able to get a shitload more impressions than Newsfeed. Plus they are allowing more ads through that would not make it onto news feed due to being "weird"/clickbaity (and will get your account smacked). I would not submit ads in the resolution required for NF (or the one they recommend which is even higher for retina phones etc.) -- just submit the exact res required for the new RHS.
Definitely design your ads specifically for that placement rather than using NF-tailored images.
I did some initial testing and found price
erformance to suck so have left alone for now.
I imagine there will be some teething issues and audience response may take a while to smooth out, but if CTRs don't pick up.... that would be a big failure for Facebook.
Oh, one other note too. The traffic seems very inconsistent. Where with the original RHS ads you would receive a steady stream of traffic (so long as your CTR was good) because of the limited space of these new ads, the traffic comes in bursts. But the end result is just less volume :-(
I'm actually getting cheaper clicks but worse cvr.
For me clicks are way more expensive but the CTR is much higher. CVR varies and fluctuates a lot more as well...
Update: from my end I'm finding the clicks are comparable to the NF - CPMs much lower but CTRs also much lower as well.
However, I'm seeing revolting performance.
Similar NF ads, same targeting, getting something like 10% CVR on NF and nothing out of 70+ clicks on the RHS.
Da fuk?
So far, I just don't like them.
Bundle the new RHS + NF. Better than bundling mobile + desktop. Same volume discounts and less of a performance hit.
I hate Facebook. But there will be light. You can farm and work accounts all year, as long as you have a 100k month doing diet/muscle every now and then, you're not doing too bad.
Quality has been extremely shotty with the new RHS, some days performance is good other days it's absolutely awful. I've done a lot of tests and so far it's pretty disappointing compared to the old old school RHS.
Guess it's NF4LIFE huh?
Also, FB recently changed their NF ad frequency capping - users who are not connected to your page can now see the same ad up to twice in a day (it used to be once).
Has anyone else been testing the new RHS and having success? So far for me and others I work closely with it has been a colossal failure. Yielding low CPC's isn't an issue, in fact we've been able to get even cheaper clicks then we would of with old RHS but the quality just isn't there or something isn't clicking. Looking forward to hearing others experiences so far.
The Partner App placements is part of the Facebook Audience Network.
Basically, you can display your ads in app placements that Facebook have through their own exchange that they have made.
I believe it is mobile only.
I haven't tested it yet, one issue being you can't really get placement data and can do NF only and NF + partnered apps, so have to split-test both to get a comparison.
