Friendly Support of SiteScout - NOT

[17:18:18] Hiten @ SiteScout: Hi Peter, who is your AM?
[17:18:40] Peter Rocks: uhm
[17:18:40] Peter Rocks: Kate
[17:18:44] Hiten @ SiteScout: and what is your account information? I can't see a Peter Rocks registered in the system
[17:18:50] Peter Rocks: peter@gmail
[17:19:30] Hiten @ SiteScout: Kate had left us over 6 months ago
[17:19:47] Hiten @ SiteScout: all Account managers have been consolidated to support@sitescout.com
[17:20:06] Peter Rocks: so its only email or what?
[17:20:28] Hiten @ SiteScout: yes, please email support with your questions and they will be happy to help you out
[17:21:38] Peter Rocks: I just want to get my ads approved

-- He deleted me from Skype after that message and for sure my ads are still not approved.

This is not just an issue of sitescout, I've been working with a lot of networks which are unfriendly as shit. How is it possible that networks which getting MONEY from ME do have such a shitload of support? I will never understand this.

Yeah seen the same happen to me on quite some networks.

Things changed only when I started to spend some money. From unresponsive they tend to go overly annoying when they see they can make money from you.

Its extremely off how rude a lot of ad networks are. Like Besmir says, this usually changes when they see you can spend $.. but it's weird networks don't treat their businesses similar to retail stores.

Hiring 1-2 friendly, and very available support staff and campaigns reps can go a LONG way.

Since SiteScout was bought out they changed a LOT. Fortunately there are so many RTB's now that you can just move on to next one. SiteScout don't really have anything that the other's don't have

Aren't they using the 80/20 rule, just like Google did with Adwords?

You've got to spend big MONEY, or hound these guys. Not just sitescount but for most traffic sources. Call, text, show up at the office. Do what you need to do. The rep is usually worth it though.

^^^ what he said.

guys... step back and see the big picture. ad platforms want 7-8+ figure spends and DO NOT want performance marketers... why would they? it cuts into their margins.

I know we dont like it. I even suffer as a small agency. BUT would you really give a shit about someone spending $10k-$100k when you have company's spending $1M-$10M and dont even care about a tracking pixel?

people can bitch all day long about customer service, but its business and numbers. and if you dont have the numbers... why should they care about your business???

Hard cold cruel facts of the real world. Now go watch "wall st:money never sleeps" and do not buy the tulips
or
balls up and watch "Pom Wonderful: the greatest story ever sold" and get a cooperate sponsor. be the first to get 'green coffee' on Virgin airlines... they have ACAI VODKA... someone sold them

^^ Acai vodka is pretty gross.. but i can already see the health conscience party'er buying it from the liquor store excited that they're going to be extra healthy while doing shots.
