ASTONISHING HIDDEN GOOGLE SECRETS: Ordinary STMer Reveals These Weird Tricks!

From http://www.quora.com/Google-Products...ple-know-about and www.businessinsider.com

Google offers so much more than just search.

For example, did you know that Google can guide you through your wedding?

From the silly to the useful, these Google features will make you love Google even more than you probably already did.

Google Image search “Atari Breakout” and prepare to forget whatever else you were supposed to be doing. https://www.google.com/search?q=atari+breakout&tbm=isch

You can set a timer on Google (and get an alarm to sound when time is up) by Googling any amount of time followed by “timer.” https://www.google.com/?ei=glTKU7yuM...r+minute+timer

Google.com/sky lets you explore the far reaches of the universe using images from NASA satellite, the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, and the Hubble Telescope. www.google.com/sky

Google nGrams is a fun tool that lets you search for words in 5.2 million books published between 1500 and 2008 so you can see how much it’s been used over time. https://books.google.com/ngrams/grap...20Frog%3B%2Cc0

Intimidated by huge numbers? Google will help you figure out how to pronounce that 12-string number if you type “=english” after it.

Unleash your inner child by checking out Google’s Lego www.BuildWithChrome.com.

You can add “+anything” when typing your email address and it will still work. You can also add "." in any gmail address and it will still work. You can also replace @gmail.com with @googlemail.com and it will still work.

Very practical when you need to sign up for multiple accounts in IM/AM with less sophisticated services that consider these emails addresses to be non unique or for filtering emails (for example, you could set up a folder for all emails sent to “youremail+trafficsourcename@gmail.com”).[/B]

Google recently released a fun new Maps game called SmartyPins that gives you geographic trivia. http://smartypins.withgoogle.com/

Getting married? Google will help you plan your wedding, announce the news, locate a venue, fill in the plans, make a website, and more. http://www.google.co.uk/weddings/

There’s a “Handwriting” feature in Google Translate that lets you draw characters or symbols. https://translate.google.com/#zh-CN/zh-CN/

Find a gorgeous font that you can use for free. www.Google.com/fonts

Get your culture on by using Google Art Project to check out super high-res photos of artwork from the world’s greatest museums. https://www.google.com/culturalinsti...ct/art-project

My favorite features are using Google as a calculator and a currency converter.

I just type in "(876.14-561.12)/561.12=" https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=cr,ss...2)%2F561.12%3D and BOOM! there is my answer. Or "1211.43 EUR into USD" https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=cr,ss...3+EUR+into+USD

Really love these nifty little features.

I use the built in calculator and timers all the time.

i love the headline, it reminds me of that popups that say "SUPER AFFILIATE GONE ROGUE REVEALS MILLION DOLLAR SECRET!"

Heh, Zerg Rush is awesome. Hadn't seen that one before.

The ridiculously obvious Google feature I use all the time is their built-in currency converter. XE.com must not have been at all happy the day that came in!

(Google NUMBER CURRENCY_CODE to CURRENCY_CODE, like "1500 USD to GBP")
