Google grabbed that definition to make it more convenient for the user and even cited its source? I dont see the point of it going viral, bunch of idiots nit picking I say.

And thus it acted like scraper. If you think about it, all search engines make money by scraping other people's work and deciding who deserves high rankings while selling ads to users without paying the sites they rank a dime. Pretty evil job, considering google's "don't be evil" motto.

They scraped wikipedia for user experience reasons so under the context of google policy that was audited by an internal team and then verified by another team in hq and then confirmed by sergey amd then voted on by the board.. it is not a violation rather an excemption from the rule.

Nevermind, the post was meant for people with some sense of irony.

Scraper sites often include a link back to the source too. Google is scraping content from another site, putting it in #1 position in the search results and reducing the need for users to click through to the original site, while monetising the scraped content with ads. It's not really anything new for Google but I can see why site owners would be annoyed.

Google providing value to the user by displaying desired content immediately to save them time and effort? No way!

It offers a better user experience, but SEOs are still going to hate it because it will diminish traffic.
