The Newbie HiveMind – Your Ticket to 10x the Data, Connections, and Brainpower (33)

The Newbie HiveMind – Your Ticket to 10x the Data, Connections, and Brainpower

A self-evident truth: groups of people have more collective power and capability than loners (duh).

As a budding super affiliate, you better believe having 9 other guys behind you is going to get your to XX,XXX a month faster than anything else.

I don't care how many hours a day you work. Affiliate marketing is a game of data collection sprinkled with occasional paradigm shifting insights. 1 data collector can not compete with 10.

A Proven Success Formula

Recently in another thread 8 guys came together, all with the goal of learning from each other's successes and failures. What did it do for each guy as an individual?

-- Instead of coming up with one set of ideas, each individual now benefited from 8 minds worth of ideas. And multiplied his data acquisition by 700%!

-- The cost? Nothing, not even extra management time. Each individual got this extra wealth of knowledge compiled, managed, aggregated, and neatly reported to him for FREE. By entrepreneurial minded managers with a vested interest. (knowing that they'd get the same in return!)

-- The downside risk to each individual? Losing the "Extremely Precious Newbie Data" of course. Possibly the only thing exaggerated in the mind more than young girl's fantasy of her wedding day.

IN THE REAL WORLD, each individual affiliate marketer LOST NOTHING to gain EVERYTHING.

What is the Newbie Hivemind?

10 times the amount of data and resources for free.

Perfect transparency, completely unfiltered feedback.

By a group of peers who'll be with you from the very beginning.

To your high earning days when you make a couple thousand dollars on a slow Tuestday, and wonder which campaign is performing so crappy to make such a pittance (and we'll still have feedback for ya even then).

How the group will work

Initially, we'll come together and form the Hivemind Plan, our shared vision on how to concentrate all our efforts into one area of affiliate marketing without stepping on each other's toes.

Then, we go to work. Nothing more to say about that.

Everyone issues reports on a weekly basis. I'll give you a basic structure to follow. Basically you'll use video to show everyone your campaign spend, your creatives, your landing pages, your numbers. Everything. It's like we peered inside your mind the whole week, as you did to us.

Reports can be turned in as early as Friday evening, or as late as Sunday night. No report by Sunday night probably means you'll want to start checking the floor for a trap door (see below)!

It's not just about showing, either. Through Dropbox we'll also be SHARING everything. Landing pages, creatives, new scripts or other custom software. Of course nothing is reused without being modified or adapted to the individual's specific need. The goal is increasing personal synergy and capability through collective resource sharing.

Skype discussions are never ending. You'll have an INSIDER'S GROUP now, a loyal camaraderie of guys who already know all your secrets. With that level of closeness comes an unparalleled level of trust between members. An open money-making conversation that never really ends.

Have a question about your landing page? don't beat around the bush, YOU JUST POST THE LANDING PAGE and get the feedback you need. Same deal with creatives, traffic sources etc. Other guys will do the exact same thing, counting on your help in return.

The "Catches"

1. The Trap door of Non-Cooperation. Miss one report and it'll probably be okay. Miss another one and I pull a Sinister looking lever under my desk. A trap door gives way underneath you, and you fall into oblivion for good.

There's a natural tendency to withhold, and the trapdoor's my only way of combating it and keeping every guy accountable.

2. Forum Support. Let's give credit where credit is due, and be super thankful that Stack That Money allows and encourages ultra-powerful get-togethers like this to happen.

In return, I'll be posting quality information that the group figures out every week.

Am I going to give away your new supersecret that'll bring 100 new competitors into your micro niche money-machine?

No dude, I understand the difference between public and private information. If it can't hurt you being shared (not even remotely), then it qualifies as potentially public info.

I'll make the public posts for you, unless you want to chime in yourself.

Tentative deadline to apply to the Newbie Hivemind:

Time to shed that old and outdated fur coat, Mr. Lone Wolf. Step up to the fast-track to super affiliate stardom. Your response is due by:

July 25, 2014

If you want in, post below.

PS: I'm excited for you, my friend -- you're only one week away from fast tracking your path to to XX,XXX a month. You may even get there before we see 2015.

PPS: You don't have to be a complete newbie to apply, But its more ideal if your are. Otherwise you better be willing to unveil everything about what you've already done. This mastermind just won't work the same if you act like a bean counter, trying to hold some things back depending on what date and under which campaign you discovered the nugget.

I'm mainly in adult mobile, live in Belgium, have a budget of about 1,5k to 2k per month. One thing to consider though is that I combine AM with a full time job and a part time offlinr business, as that is what currently funds my traffic. I have ran some campaigns in other verticals too and can share the data of those aswell. My biggest strength is that I always look to do things as effeciently as possible, and often succeed to effectively do so. My biggest weakness at the moment is the inconsitent time I can put in, which varies week to week. Pm me with the details

07-18-2014 03:14 PM #10 craigm (Veteran Member)

Awesome, what channel/vertical are you thinking about or is this still a TBD issue, or are you planning on spreading focus into multiple areas?

07-18-2014 03:36 PM #11 prospect (AMC Alumnus)

Interesting and... interested!
I'm looking for a mastermind group since a while. I would be glad to contribute, count me in please.

07-18-2014 04:57 PM #12 avn_0903 (Member)

Which traffic source are we looking at? Mobile, facebook, adult?

07-18-2014 05:23 PM #13 pockets (Member)

Traffic sources/verticals/other things like budget are to be determined, let's see how many people are on board first.

Based on what everybody wants we'll figure out a reasonable way to collaborate, and possibly split into multiple groups!

I'm in as well!!!

I'd recommend newbies work with OP based solely on his demonstrated understanding of copywriting.

This post was a great example of medium-length copy that works with tons of offers.

Exactly! That is what caught my eye . First thing i'm doing when I get home, and on my laptop, is check out the profile/started threads of OP and digg for a little background

I'm in, I have been doing some half-ass PPC for a month or so, but having a group and some accountability will be good.

07-19-2014 09:37 AM #21 cmdeal (Veteran Member)

In order for this (and any other peer to peer best practices sharing) networking to be effective, the participants need to be at roughly similiar levels and facing similar challenges. Otherwise, the give and take ratio gets skewed and distorted, and it becomes hard to sustain the full participation of all the members.

07-20-2014 12:41 PM #22 pockets (Member)

Ok bros, between here and the private messages we already have a good number of interested people. We may need to split into two groups with a second organizer -- more on this if it gets there.

For now, let's get everyone's initial input. Please fill out this form to 1) answer a few questions about your preferences, and 2) gather the group's contact information in one place:

Okay fellow hive minders, preliminary polls are in.

Desktop/Mobile: Of the 15 responses so far (I'm expecting a couple more) only three guys are focused on desktop traffic.

I expected mobile to be getting fairly popular, maybe at 50% or above, but damn son!

The nice thing is all three guys doing desktop are fairly flexible. So we are a MOBILE FOCUSED group and you will likely get the most personal leverage by focusing in this direction, at least initially.

Doesn't mean you can't run desktop campaigns also, in fact I have a few desktop campaigns I plan on running eventually.

Traffic sources: all over the board. And you know what, it's for the best. No reason to put 15 guys on the same traffic source, that makes no sense at all. Let's scatter out, divide and conquer.

Verticals: Equally scattered. This is a bit tougher for us, there are definitely advantages to everyone specializing in the same verticals. On the other hand I'm sure we'll all be jumping around a lot, so trying to regulate this probably won't work too well.

So for now we'll run with a Wild West/Anything Goes format. I think it'll work, there's so much for newer guys to learn even from outside niches and traffic sources. But if changes need to be made then we'll talk about it.

Suggestion box:

Someone gave a solid suggestion to have a Google hangout conference every now and then.

Good idea, I think having some face time with the guys you'll be working with will help us get to know each other more than text chatting ever will.

There was another suggestion to split up the group by experience level. Most guys are fairly new so there's no real way to implement that one. So we shall all gain in experience together.

Next steps:

I'm going to start adding everyone on my Skype today and then put together the skype group. I forgot to ask you all for your dropbox emails, so we'll take care of that as well as the intros.

Resources: start saving all your resources into the shared dropbox folder once you get added. You will have your own subfolder.

It might seem scary at first, but trust me man, you're not hurting anyone and you're helping create a virtual treasure trove from the collective effort.

By the way, your files versions are automatically backed up on dropbox, and they store a lot of older versions. So your files aren't at risk in case anything happens. (See https://www.dropbox.com/help/11/en) Consider paying someone $5 to expand your free account to 18+ gb through referral bonuses (http://www.fiverr.com/search/gigs?ut...=1&layout=auto)

And yes, I'm monitoring everybody for their contribution levels!

First week expectations: We won't do a round of "full disclosure videos" from each hiveminder this week. Just adding everyone and setting up the dropbox can take a couple days, not leaving us much time before the weekend.

Next week we will all do the "over the shoulder" videos, and collectively post them on the skype chat from Friday to Sunday. Actual video time will only be about 10 minutes but please allot more time for prep and post-work.

Expect to learn a ton. Your brain may not even be able to take it all in at once! Lucky for you, you'll now have a reason to give your eyes a break, kick back, and watch one of the 15 videos throughout the week when you feel like absorbing some more.

Expect to get a lot of hard data that typically only super affiliates share with each other (they already have that level of trust at the top).

Can't speak for others but I'm also going to tell you my thoughts going into the new creatives and landers I build, and then compare them to the results I get.

It's a good way of getting a little more insight out of the creation process against its real world outcome. Ya I'm a copywriter, but don't draw some barrier between you and me. Trust me when I say copywriting will never become a licensed profession.

There will be rockiness

Especially early on. This is part of the iterative process of finding what works and refining our way there. Stick with the Hivemind and you will be rewarded with more data, brainpower, and success!

Alright bros, talk to you all shortly,

Sean / pockets

Your Guide to Getting Started As a HiveMinder

In this video you will learn:

1) How everything works, and how you benefit

2) The 3 responsibilities everyone has. With less than 1 hour per week total, each item allows a group-wide share of 1) Data 2) Resources 3) Brainpower.

In the frenzy of the Skype group discussion my dropbox instructions flew off the page.

Everyone please email me your dropbox email address to get added to our shared folder: altmail55@gmail.com

Once you're in, create a subfolder for yourself using the following naming format:

How to Organize Campaign-Specific Data Partnerships with Your Fellow HiveMinders

This video will show you how to go 2 up or 3 up on a campaign. The idea is to increase everyone's campaign data by a few multiples.

The only obstacle is coordination, which is the focus of the video:

Hey Sean!

A very enthusiastic newbie to affiliate marketing from the UK. I have made an okay-ish profit on Teespring, but am new to everything else.

I've been accepted to several affiliate networks and really love the idea of sharing information to all help each other together to succeed.

I have a background in SEO and have ran 3 of my own products to a decent level of success, but I am really set on making AM work.

Would love to join this mastermind and I'm glad I logged on and saw this.

Anyway, hit me up on Skype if so My Skype is: dancastroim
