I just launched a camp where ad 3b is getting a better CTR than 3a and yet is being charged a higher CPC. Is this simply because 3a has a higher percentage of clicks to the actual web site so it's being rewarded with the lower CPC?
Also, how do you know when to kill one of the dupes and leave the other one running?
Over what time period and how frequently were you getting clicks?
If you were getting maybe 1-2 clicks an hour this could just be he delivery algorithm... Ad CPC will drop over time as a result of CTR performance history but the CPC can behave erratically if you don't have enough volume.
Thus, the average CPCs you get and the average CTRs might not correlate well.
I would let these two continue to run for the sole purpose of learning more about what might happen in this situation.
