Join an Accountability Group? Stuck and Need Help Taking Action?

What do you all think about forming an accountability group where several of us meet twice a week on Skype to share what our goals are for the week. Then the next week if you've accomplished your goals, we'll give you praise and a digital cookie. However, if you didn't accomplish your goals, we'll verbally kick your ass and virtually slap you upside your head! Plus you'll have to pay a penalty of some kind (shave an eyebrow?)

I've fallen into the trap of reading too much and not taking action. I'm making a decent living from my other job, but it's contributing to my laziness setting up affiliate campaigns. Also fear of failure has something to do with it.. Anyone else experiencing this?

I think the peer pressure and social factor will be powerful in making us get over the hump and start taking action.

What's your thoughts?

Jump on it.

Im still having some issues with reading but not taking action.

But starting to do it bit by bit.

Failures will always be there. But see it in positive way.

If you succeed on the 100th time. Congrats! You have just found 99 ways that doesn't work. And you will save your time in the future 99 times =)

I know the feeling all too well. Im currently focusing on an affiliated related project (we can discuss at ASE) but I'd be down to join and share some motivation.

If we do a skype group, Im down. My skype is john_crestani.

I say we do it once a day though! Why not? I also say the group should be limited to 10 people or something like that.


I think a good format would be
1) In a single post at the beginning of each day, each person list their goals for the day, and also request where they could use help.
2) Each person say if they accomplished their goals at the end of each day
3) Group members encourage the other members to complete their goals, and/or question the member why they werent able to reach their goal for the day.


If anybody else is down, add me on skype and I'll start the group.

I think its a great idea, I'm sure you've read many threads on this forum about how great masterminds are and one part is the accountability!

I see MANY MORE PROS then cons in this idea, so chop chop to it lads!

Yeah, I would be interested in joining as well. I already use other tools for productivity but this seems like a good one to add to my list

Genius man, If we held each other accountable each day, imagine how much we could accomplish..I'll skype you and definitely would like to join when you start up!

I'm part of an SEO Skype group full of SEO 'experts'. We only text but talk about strategies and case studies. People are allowed to ask any question and all the members can come with input. There's NO off topic stuff allowed. That way all chat will be relevant and useful. I think that'd be a good idea for something like this. I am kind of new to paid traffic as I've always done SEO to make my living but I'd love to join an active Skype group if I qualify.

Hey man, this group is more focused on mindset strategies and achieving daily/weekly goals rather than on paid traffic strategies. If you're still interested send me a pm.
