Tracking users who completed an offer
Hi STM,
I am trying to create a campaign where I enter people into a giveaway whenever they complete one of the offers. While creating this campaign I had a few questions:
1. How do I get the information back from the offer provider that a certain user has completed the offer and can be entered into a giveaway. e.g. in mobile world when users complete offers from say SponsorPay or TrialPay we can get back a notification and then issue giveaway entries to the user but how will this work in the non-mobie world?
2. Are there any issues with incentivizing completing offers? Do the affiliate networks look down upon this?
Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Yes absolutely, unless the offer allows incent traffic(it probably doesn't) don't even think about doing it, unless you don't want to end up getting paid, incent = shit quality for the advertiser.

@craigm how do you find out if incent traffic is allowed? Does it mention that in the affiliate network or is the AM the best person to ask for this info?

Ask your AM or look under restrictions

Is that event what gives a conversion? Or is it some form fill beforehand that does?
If it's a later event you'll have to talk to your AM and ask if they can place a second pixel. However, it's not normal for advertisers to place some tracking code after the conversion point that gives you a lead... this would be them being directly transparent about lead quality and this doesn't often happen!
