Size of Banners

For mobile ads, I notice that 320x50 is the most frequently used size. Is it applicable to all types of mobile devices (including tablets)?

I read from the article of iAd that the ideal banner size on iPad display (portrait ads) is 768x66, but from the data shown in Decisive, everyone is using 728x90 instead. Confused.

There is a difference what iAd thinks works best and what is the most popular.

You should go with the size that has the most volume which is 728x90.
