Neat trick to make a quick buck with domains (2)

Not sure where to post this so $$$ Money! it is.
Some time ago I used a little trick to pick up domains that are about to expire and you can still make a quick buck doing so.
Visit the godaddy marketplace:
https://auctions.godaddy.com
Select the tab: Expiring.
You will see a nice list with domains that are about to expire for example:
Now the trick here is to get OLD whois information since godaddy overwrites it with their own when the domain is expired.
This website is very helpful when it comes to that:

This information could be accurate or NOT but it's worth a try.
It's really going to depend on the owner of the domain but I had a lot of success with reaching out to them and explain how their domain is about to expire and I am willing to offer them $XX for it.
In some cases they will want to keep it but with a little luck you get a decent domain for a cheap price.
Sell the domain & repeat.

It may also be good way of building your own traffic source. If you sort by traffic then just low ball offer every domain that still gets traffic. The stats they show are monthly.
