Adult Marketing: Question about Domain Name, Hosting, Landing Pages

Hello my Friends,

I am new in this forum and have read a lot of the threads in the past view days and I think I am ready to start my new affiliate marketing adventure in trying the adult market.

I have read a lot of the forum threads about adult marketing that have given me good overview and ideas to start.

But for some more technical questions I couldn't find any answer now.

The questions I have is all about domain, hosting and landing page (I do already affiliate business now but just for some Software programs I am promoting with Bing and on several software related homepages I own).

So here are my questions:

What kind of hosting should I use to host the landing pages VPN or just shared hosting like Bluehost.com, HostGator.com etc.?
Does the domain name matters? With this I mean: is it important that the keywords in the domain name have to by something like www.Greatadultoffer.com etc. (I know that this matters when promoting software programs. I have split tested this)?
Does the domain name extension matters like .com, .net, .info etc.? I am asking as it is easier to get a good .net, .info name as a .com name, if the domain name (keywords in the domain) really matters.
I know that on Godaddy it is possible to mark the domain name as "private" when purchasing a domain name. Is this recommended?
Do you re

direct the home page of your site direct to an Adult offer or do you really set up a Website with a Home Page, Offer Pages etc. as I do this with software offers I promote?

1) Use a VPS (Virtual Private Server) NOT shared hosting under any circumstances.
2) Domain name doesn't really matter. Choose something vaguely appropriate. STMers have split-tested in the past to be sure, and it's rarely a big deal.
3) Again, extension doesn't matter - plenty of people including me use .info or similar.
4) Personally I'd say that purchasing on GoDaddy isn't recommended Probably best to hide Whois data though, yes.
5) Most people just use one-page landing pages to sell offers, rather than anything more complex.

Beyond Hosting's Starter Plan is still excellent, and they offer a discount for STM members - look around the Discounts and Buy/Sell forums to find it.

If you're comfortable installing your own web server and tracker, then Digital Ocean are my usual go-to providers these days.
