Seeing a conversion in F5 but not seeing it in Decisive or P202 (13)

Seeing a conversion in F5 but not seeing it in Decisive or P202

Hi. I just kicked off my 1st campaign. I used the Appetiser guide by Caurmen. I am using an F5 offer and trying to use Prosper202 for tracking. I am seeing a conversion (snapped a picture and framed it ) in F5 but not seeing this in Decisive and worse, I am not seeing anything in P202. So I figured I configured something incorrectly.

Heres what I did

1. I set up 4 campaigns (as laid out in the Appetiser).

This is what I put in the link for the 4 campaigns/ads in Decisive:

http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxx...paignName1&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxx...paignName2&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxx...paignName3&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxx...paignName4&s2=[[subid]]

2. This is what I put in the Postback URL (Server Pixel) in the offer:

http://p202tracking.com/tracking202/...ce#&subid=#s2#

3. This is what I put in the campaign URL for each of the 4 campaigns in Prosper202:

http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=campaign1&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=campaign2&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=campaign3&s2=[[subid]]
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxxxx&c=xxxxx&s1=campaign4&s2=[[subid]]

Here is what I'm seeing in Decisive:

Name:	Decisive.jpg
Views:	58
Size:	6.6 KB
ID:	2911

Here is F5 showing a conversion:

Size:	2.1 KB

Where did I go wrong?

Thanks for the help.

Step 2 and 3 are correct, just on step1 you should change direct F5 links with prosper generated links for these camps.

Go to prosper > get links to get em.

Where's your tracking domain? Nothing is coming up in p202 because you're not using it at all, at no point does decisive or F5 interact with p202.

You also need to change [[subid]] to {{{bidhash}}} in decisive

@bbrock32 - I have generated the links for the 4 campaigns and they look like:

http://p202tracking.com/tracking202/...id=656&t202kw=

Question: Should anything be appended to the t202kw=

@craigm - I'm guessing that now I have generated the links for Decisive from P202, I no longer need the {{{bidhash}}}.

I have changed the links in Decisive to the links generated in in P202 and restarted my campaigns.

I can now see my campaigns in P202...great! However, Decisive is showing blanks for all the columns (except for Ad, Info and Action). Is this normal that I can no longer see any data in Decisive as long as I am using a tracker? Or I have something else misconfigured?

Also, my clicks in P202 are way slow (showing only 8 in 20 minutes) and last night I got about 144 in 10 minutes (2 conversions) when I had data showing in Decisive. This offer is in Brazil and I know I have to account for time differences, etc. It just doesn't feel right (though I probably haven't been doing this long enough yet to trust my gut feelings).

Thanks for all the help.

STM rocks!

It's not normal for Decisive to show blank data - likely the interface is bugged out right now.

The reason you use {{{bidhash}}} in your advert links is so that you can use Decisive's conversion tracking. Without it, you cannot.

You will want your advert URLs to end with something like... t202kw=banner_name&c1={{{media}}}&c2={{{placement} }}&c3={{{bidhash}}} etc.

There are a lot of tokens and you can pass these to tracking202 so that it has extra information.

Then, when you configure the postback URL for Decisive under traffic sources in tracking202, you will need to plug in [[c3]] in this example so that tracking202 communicates the {{{bidhash}}} value to Decisive when a conversion happens.

I'm not sure what you mean about your slow stats but they should show up instantly in the visitors log or in the spy section. Most tracking systems update in virtually real time.

Ok, the smoke is beginning to clear. Thanks!

What is typically passed to the t202kw parameter? I see your example has banner_name. P202 generated 4 advert URLs since I have 4 campaigns. I have the same 8 banners in those 4 campaigns.

If the banner name is set to t202kw, I'm not sure how I would get this set up.

Thanks for being so patient with these newbie questions. The only good thing is that we newbies will only go through this pain once ☺.

banner_name would be something that you would manually replace with the banner name. Alternatively, in Decisive you could replace it with {{{creativeid}}} to show the Creative ID, but that's not very human-readable.

Hi, so I have my 1st campaign going and am tracking using p202. My offer is an android offer but I'm seeing ipad, mobile safari, iOS, Mac OS x and iphone using up clicks in my data.

Is there any way to exclude these? Thanks.

Are you using Decisive? If so, make sure to just target android when setting up the campaign.

I am using Decisive...and under Operating System I have Android.

I have noticed that under OS Version it doesn't seem that I can select only android versions. I would think that once I selected android as my operating system it would filter all the remaining options (OS Version, Device Name, Device Model, etc) to be android specific. Is there an easy way to exclude the Apple related options?

If you've set it up to only target Android OS, then it should only be targeting Android OS, not the other options. Get in touch with Decisive support and ask what's up.
