Summer Slowdown?

Hey,

This is my first "real" summer in adult dating and I'm seeing a pretty good drop in EPC/leads in July.

Maybe it's normal, I have a vast experience in adult and summer was not the best season of the year. I just find it strange that in dating the better months are not the same as paysite months, for example.

Anyway, maybe it's just a bad week (July 4th in USA) but it seems to affects US/CA/UK/AU traffic so again, maybe just a few weeks people are on vacation.

BTW I push well over 1000 leads/day so this is not like "Hey I dropped from ~50 to 43 in the last 2 days".

There IS a global EPC drop on different publishers/offers worldwide since July 1st, based on a lot of traffic.

Just wanted to know if it's kinda normal this time of the year... :P

thought i was crazy, and some some major scrubbing has been going on since thursday. Down almost 60% since 12pm est 7/3. Sent out emails to my networks and skype ( no response -holiday/weekend to there benefit) and even made sure my hosting wasn't the issue. Glad I'm not the only one. anyone know when this will change / get fixed ?

Anyone noticed a drop off in the weight loss niche also since July 3rd ??? Sales are way down in the last few days

It is normal during the summer.

It's been like this for the last 2-3 years, it picks up quick in september.

Just noticed the same thing since July 3. Sudden drop in epc and roi by 50%. Hope it picks back up in a few weeks

Otherwise I am going to try another niche. Might be a good opportunity for me to try a new niche.

I concur the last week 4-5 days have been toilet for me too. Thought I was alone but it appears I'm not so thanks to the OP.

If it's a US campaign.

It's Independence Day here, the 4th of July weekend. Huge holiday in the US. Our network volume is down 30% overall. So I assume it will come back mid next week.

Hey Smaxor has the diet offers in your network been down this week also? I run a few offers in the weight loss niche and sales have been low this last week

I've noticed everything down on the 3rd and 4th. After that everything seemed to go back to normal. I run US only so it makes sense.

Yeah I mentioned it was the 4th of July in my initial post, but it seems to also affects CA/UK/AU campaigns.

Anyway thanks for the feedback. Is your network volume down by 30% only for traffic or EPCs are also affected? I would not mind if it would only affect traffic... ie: less traffic on weekends but higher EPCs.

Hopefully it will get better this week; June was a good month. I don't expect July/August to be as good, but I had to cut a few campaigns completely since the profit margin was down. I keep pushing campaigns at loss just to keep a good volume.

btw, are there any other dates of the year you guys notice a change in conversions/traffic?

I don't know for UK/AU, but it has also been Canada day last week (July first), a lot of people took the week off.

True, I saw the same thing happening last year.
And indeed in September I saw the conversions coming back in.
The weird thing is that the traffic and CTR don't drop at all.
It's just the conversions that go down...

There's also the FIFA World Cup going on atm, which depending on how soccer-crazy a GEO is could also result in a pretty significant drop.
