every now and then I come across some spots that have great traffic & price
throw up my stuff & set the campaign & let it run..
ads CTR is what i expect.. offer coverts as i expect..
but the lander eats a big fat pickle :/
i try like 4 or 5 different landers & the CTR is always low (%20-%25)
i usually keep it going if its profitable but most times i just bail out
what do you guys do in these situations??
I'm far from an expert as I've never run adult, but personally I'd test/optimize more.
I'd start with angles - brainstorm 5 or 6, then create landers around those, and test them.
Whichever ones show the most promise, create variations in the way you present that angle. Different copy, different images, different styles of page etc.
Once you have a working angle, simple testing like that will probably catapult you way ahead of where you were before.
If this is something that consistently happens to you, changing up the way you approach the testing will probably help you break out of it.
Hope that helps!
If your Angle is off, then it wont really matter, how many different variatiosn of landing pages you use, it will likely not product the desired results. When you have an effective Angle, You CAN take a below avg to avg LP and optimize for better conversions, however, When you have an ineffective Angle, even a Good LP may not put you in the green. Walk before you can Run, ie start optimizing your Angles, before you start optimizing for LPs.
If your CTR is low, try stripping things out of your lander.
Seriously - you can get away with waaaay less words on a lander than you'd expect. Make every single word on there justify itself.
Also, I'd recommend split-testing not just more images (although I'd definitely recommend that) but also more layouts of images. Grid vs single image vs one large and several small vs a mess of images vs expandable thumbnails vs...
Try to also adapt the lander to the traffic source. Same colors , pictures with belive fuck girls , not top models. This could work !
Yes, definitely - make sure you're not always testing the same "style" of picture or girl. Be sure to test emo vs "girl next door" vs glamour vs MILF vs ... etc, etc, etc.
Thanks guys!! I will keep testing. I needed to hear these comments they have me a few ideas.
Just wanted to know how u treat these spots?
Is there a CTR u aim for?
Or if it's profitable u just keep it running as is
