Hey you guys, I'm new to mobile and I'm having trouble tracking my conversions from F5 Media on
Here's the postback I'm using:
https://mylink.com/postback?cid=#s2#&payout=#price#
is that accurate? any other problems you guys think could be affecting the tracker? Thanks guys, i appreciate it
Postback looks fine.
Are you passing
Check the click report at F5. If the s2 column isn't packed full of clickIDs, that's your problem.
You could also try using http instead of https.
Thanks for the tip Zeno.
I checked the s2 column in the click report within F5 and found that the column is completely empty.
I then double-checked the F5 link in the offer I set up within
http://f5mtrack.com/?a=xxxx&c=xxxx&s1={campaign.id}&s2={clickid}
It seems like the {clickid} token was already there but it didn't record the s2 column at all.
I've also changed out the https to http so I'm waiting on those results although I think I have a bigger problem in that I didn't record any clickids.
Any pointers are much appreciated.
Edit:
I'm thinking maybe I set up something wrong along the traffic source, landing page, offer page process?
I currently have the
Although I am aware that I could use mylink.trackvoluum.com/click on my landing page and they would be redirected to the offer, I didn't want to take the risk after testing it in my desktop and having it not work. I felt it safer to simply put in the F5 offer link in my landing page.
Can someone clarify this setup for me?
Thanks again!
Hey,
Your problem is 100% that you have the F5 offer link on your lander.
This is not correct and actually breaks
Change your lander CTA link to the
Likely you loaded the landing page URL directly - not via your Voluum tracking link, and this made the click URL become dead (user gets sent to Voluum but Voluum has no idea who you are or where you came from > can't do anything useful with you).
You can prevent this by using some PHP code but it's not important right now - everyone is going to get redirected to your lander through your tracking URL so it's not going to matter.
Thanks for the very comprehensive explanation.
I changed that out and instantly started seeing the clicks. Within minutes I saw a conversion record along with the publisher id information.
We ran through $50 today on $20 return so unfortunately we won't be able to take specific action on that data but at least we know the campaign has potential and now that it's tracking properly can make the necessary changes and optimizations.
Thanks again Zeno I really appreciate the help!
No problemo!
