I am new to Mobile App Offers, and I am trying to setup a Mobile App Offer for Google Play and testing to make sure my aff link is working. I just signed up with Overplay VPN and using Utlimate UA switcher, which is the Google Extention. I was able to connect just fine using the VPN to the country, however, when I go to select Android 2.3 for example, and put my aff link in the browser, it does not seem to work. It just seems to stay in the browser without redirecting anywhere. Shouldnt it direct to the Google Play store? Any insight on what could be the issue?
I think it could be 1 of 3 things.
1) Chances are the DNS servers being used are still US DNS servers. That was what was happening to me and I changed it to international DNS servers and my problem
was gone. However, I was using Witopia VPN and there was an option to change the DNS servers in there. I don't know if you will have the same option.
2) Android 2.3 might be too old for the offer. Try a user agent of a newer android version.
3) Also, you could try using a different user agent spoofing plugin like Chrome UA Spoofer or User Agent Switcher for Firefox.
Are you just getting a blank page? If so, it could be that it's trying to tell your Android phone to load up the App Store directly. Since you're not running on an Android phone, that'll just give you a blank screen.
You shouldn't need to use a plugin to change your useragent at all, btw, unless you want to get very advanced. Chrome's Developer Tools Emulator Mode is really good.
