App install ads on Facebook - possible?

Hey guys!

I'm quite new for mobile marketing and I didn't manage to find an answer using search on the forum.

Do you know if there are some ways to advertise app installs on Facebook using non-direct link to the appstore?
As I understand I can use Facebook Page Post ads to promote apps with my tracking link and I tested one offer this way but had very expensive CPI.
Is it only my fault and I should try again or it's unusual practise to advertise apps on facebook using page post ads?

Many thanks for all your ideas!

You most certainly can!

The ads intended for this are app ads but these rope you into direct-to-store linking.

You also have to be careful when making Page Post Ads as Facebook may replace your link with the app store link if it detects it as the destination.

Go for it though - I don't think many people are trying to run mobile apps this way on FB for a number of reasons but it can definitely work.

Zeno is it possible to get the clicks down cheap enough to make this viable? I have a couple apps that are $0.99 - $1.99 but it seemed like FB ad install ads were only good for apps that were grossing $5+ per user. I am trying to see if there is a margin even with 99 cent apps.
